Republican lawmakers are accusing the FBI of sitting on a damning document that describes “very serious and detailed allegations” involving Joe Biden.
House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued a Congressional subpoena Wednesday demanding that the FBI produce the unclassified record, saying that it alleges a criminal bribery scheme involving the then-Vice President and a foreign national.
Comer issued the subpoena after a whistleblower made legally protected disclosures to Senator Chuck Grassley’s (R-Iowa) office. According to the whistleblower, the document is an FBI-generated FD-1023 form and it details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions. The subpoena to the FBI Director Christopher Wray demands all FD-1023s that contain the word “Biden” and all accompanying attachments and documents.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee have been investigating the Biden clan’s shady business schemes to determine if family members—including Joe Biden—have been compromised by foreign actors, and if there is a national security threat.
The Oversight Committee has obtained thousands of pages of financial records related to the Biden family’s business transactions and recently discovered “a deal that resulted in several members of the Biden family and their companies receiving over $1 million in more than 15 incremental payments from a Chinese company through a third party,” Comer said in a press release.
“The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself. Senator Grassley and I will seek the truth to ensure accountability for the American people,” Comer added.
Grassley, a long-time whistleblower advocate said: “We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States.”
“What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further,” the senator added. “The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight.”
In a letter to Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, Grassley wrote: “It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.”
Based on the alleged specificity within the document, it would appear that the DOJ and the FBI have enough information to determine the truth and accuracy of the information contained within it. However, it remains unclear what steps, if any, were taken to investigate the matter,” the senator continued. “The significant public interest in assessing the FBI’s response to this information, as well as growing concern about the DOJ and the FBI’s track record of allowing political bias to infect their decision-making process, necessitate exacting congressional oversight.
The DOJ and the FBI appear to have valuable, verifiable information that you have failed to disclose to the American people. Therefore, Congress will proceed to conduct an independent and objective review of this matter, free from those agencies’ influence.
In testimony February before the House Judiciary Committee’s first hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Grassley detailed how political bias was affecting high-level investigative decisions at the FBI, including investigations related to the Biden family’s foreign business arrangements and bank records.
The senator testified that a “triad” of partisan media, FBI, and Democrats had used disinformation from a Russian agent to smear a Senate investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
