Gender Clinic Trained Elementary School Teachers on How to ‘Transition’ Little Kids

At least two school districts in Pennsylvania saw its teachers undergo training on how to help elementary school children “transition” from one gender identity to the next, according to the Daily Caller.

The report claims that, in the years 2019 and 2021, Samantha King, a representative from the Gender and Sexuality Development Program at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP), met with faculty and other employees at the Pennsbury School District and the Council Rock School District. The employee in question gave the teachers instructions on how to aid in a child’s “gender transition,” including one child who was still just in kindergarten.

In 2019, King gave a PowerPoint presentation to the gathered faculty of Council Rock School District on how to help “gender-transitioning” children. In 2021, King met with staff from an elementary school within the Pennsbury School District to discuss a then-incoming kindergarten student that the teachers believed was “transgender.”

Stephanie Hultquist, the principal of Edgewood Elementary where the “transgender” kindergartener was attending school, later wrote positively of King’s appearances in an email, declaring such intervention to be “a great starting point for our education, not just as a school but, district wide.”

The Pennsbury School District has even provided payment for King to speak to faculty, donating $1,200 to CHOP for two different training sessions, one for K-5th grade teachers and another for 6-12th grade teachers. During these trainings, King used a “gender unicorn” to explain her belief that gender does not come from biology or anatomy, but from the mind, while also claiming that children exploring different gender identities is “normal and valid,” no matter what the child’s age is.

“It is not okay to tell someone they aren’t who they say they are,” King declared in her workshop. “Since Sam knows herself best, if Sam says she is a girl then that is true. Let’s show kindness and respect by not questioning her.”

The gender clinic at CHOP has previously come under fire for its open support of the ideology of transgenderism. The clinic had previously recommended sex-change surgical operations to children as young as 14, and also provides puberty blockers and other hormone treatments to children as young as 8. The clinic’s founders, Linda Hawkins and Nadia Dowshen, have both publicly promoted the practice of “top surgery,” which involves either the removal of breasts for girls or the creation of breasts for boys.
