Doctor at Boston Children’s Hospital Demands Increase in Capacity for Child Gender Surgeries

One of the co-directors at the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Center for Gender Surgery has demanded that the hospital increase its capacity for sex change surgeries for underaged children, despite the overwhelming backlash that the process has faced in recent years.

As reported by Fox News, plastic surgeon Oren Ganor, who now specializes in surgeries that alter children’s genitalia to fit the “gender identity” of their choosing, has previously said that the hospital is “slightly flexible” when it comes to the age of children seeking such surgeries. However, he admitted that any attempted policy shift would face resistance due to “the issue around consent for sterilization.”

But in an article that Ganor co-wrote on March 14th with medical student Shawheen Rezei in The Journal of the American Medical Association, Ganor claimed that “Physicians who provide gender-affirming care (GAC) will face a greater burden due to constraints in certain states… work to criminalize GAC for adolescents.”

“Especially as certain states work to criminalize GAC for adolescents, there will be an increased flux of patients traveling to seek care in states with more open legislation,” Ganor continued, using the far-left term that seeks to downplay the severity of the surgery and make it sound less harmful.

Ganor specifically called for opening even more clinics “to improve capacity for this patient population,” since “there will be an increased flux of patients traveling to seek care in states with more open legislation.”

Ganor and his co-author also recommended an increase in “training efforts” on the practice of child sex change surgery at medical schools.

“Plastic surgery residencies currently do not have a recommended number of gender-affirming surgery cases that plastic surgery trainees see during training,” they continued.

Boston Children’s Hospital has previously come under fire for its efforts to support transgenderism, the false and scientifically-debunked ideology that there are more than two genders, and that anyone can change their gender at any time and at any age. In August, the hospital posted a video that went viral, in which a psychologist claimed, without evidence, that “a good portion” of children she sees at her Gender MultiSpecialty Service Clinic may already know their gender identity “from the womb.” The video was deleted after backlash for its targeting of children as well as its lack of scientific basis.
