Joe Biden on Thursday accused “MAGA Republicans” of wanting to defund the police and the FBI.
“MAGA Republicans are calling for defunding the police department and defunding the FBI now,” Biden said during an event at the Finishing Trades Institute in Philadelphia. “That’s a good one. I like that.”

Some Republicans have indeed called for the defunding of the FBI, claiming the agency has become an abusive arm of the Democrat party, weaponized against conservative Americans.
After the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate last year, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) registered her disapproval on Twitter:
DEFUND THE FBI!

“The FBI raid on Trump’s home tells us one thing. Failure is not an option,” Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., tweeted at the time. “We must destroy the FBI. We must save America.”

Failure is not an option.
We must destroy the FBI.
We must save America.
I stand with Donald J. Trump.

Rep Matt Gaetz said last week that he was not opposed to using tough oversight tools to “defund and defang the FBI, DOJ, CDC, ATF and any other agency that is weaponized against Americans.”
The Democrats changed the rules of oversight with the J6 committee.

While an increasing number of Republicans support measures to defang the FBI and other abusive agencies, the idea that the GOP wants to defund police departments across the land has no factual basis. The Biden regime however keeps making the baseless claim.
Since taking office, the Biden White House has sought to rebrand Democrats as the law and order party and Republicans as hostile to law enforcement. In July of 2021, the Washington Post factchecker slapped “Three Pinocchios” on the regime’s hypocritical accusations in a piece headlined “The White House’s slipshod claim that Republicans are defunding the police.”
Months earlier, it should be noted, Kamala Harris was enthusiastically voicing support for the Democrats’ “defund the police” battle cry while on the 2020 campaign trail.
During the 2020 George Floyd riots, Democrats all across the nation called for the defunding of the police, resulting in violent crimes skyrocketing in jurisdictions where they were successful.

Thirteen members of the Biden Campaign even contributed to a group that paid the bail fees for violent Black Lives Matter and antifa agitators during the 2020 riots.
White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates, who was then Biden’s campaign spokesman, said in a statement that Biden opposed the institution of cash bail as a “modern day debtors prison.”
Now that Biden’s Democrat allies have succeeded in decimating police departments all across America, his new budget proposal calls for hiring 100,000 additional police on the streets, as well as funds for crime prevention strategies and community violence intervention.
“My budget invests in public safety. It includes funding for more training, more support for law enforcement at a time they are expected to play many roles. We expect our cops to be social workers, psychologists, and mental health counselors.” he said. “You know, more cops are killed, responding to domestic violence calls, than anything else.”
Biden is also blasting Republican efforts to defund his proposal for 87,000 new IRS agents.
“They want to make sure we don’t have enough IRS agents,” Biden scoffed during remarks at the White House on Friday. “Those IRS agents we had,” Biden added, before lowering his voice to a whisper, “were going to check on the accounts of the super wealthy which require a lot of accounting, a lot of agents to look at it.”
“They want to get rid of them!” he exclaimed.

Bizarrely, Biden also bragged that his administration has added more than “12,000 jobs” to the economy since he took office.
