Far-Left Dark Money Group Spent Over $1.5 Billion for Left-Wing Causes in 2021

A far-left dark money group, the largest in the nation, accumulated over $1.5 billion in anonymous donations to fund left-wing causes in 2021, according to recently-revealed tax forms.

Fox News reports that the network in question consists of five prominent nonprofit groups collectively managed by Arabella Advisors, a consulting firm based in Washington D.C. The five nonprofits are the Hopewell Fund, New Venture Fund, North Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, and Windward Fund. The same network spent another $1 billion in 2022.

Despite many Democrats criticizing the concept of “dark money” and demanding that such anonymous mass donations be banned from politics, the network’s influence shows just how crucial such dark money is to funding progressive causes.

“These latest tax returns prove that the Arabella Advisors network remains the largest dark money player in American politics,” said Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of Americans for Public Trust. “After raking in nearly $1.6 billion in anonymous contributions, and spending nearly $1 billion, this network has established itself as the preeminent hub on the left to finance efforts to defund the police, pack the Supreme Court, enforce radical green energy policies, and prop up the Biden administrations failing agenda.”

Each of the five nonprofits plays a role by acting as fiscal sponsors to other far-left nonprofits by providing their tax status to all other nonprofits that are housed beneath them, which subsequently allows all of the sponsored groups to avoid filing IRS tax forms.

In response to the revelations, Arabella spokesman Steve Sampson defended the shady work of his company.

“As we’ve stated in the past, Arabella Advisors is a business dedicated to making philanthropic work more efficient, effective, and equitable,” said Sampson. “We are proud of the work we do for all of our clients, including our nonprofit clients who hire us to provide HR, legal, payroll and other administrative services. Like all service providers, we work for our clients, not the other way around. They make their own decisions on strategy, fundraising, and programmatic goals.”

Dozens of far-left groups have joined the Arabella network, including activist groups aimed at defending the teaching of Critical Race Theory in schools, such as Campaign for Our Shared Future, and groups that actively shape the Biden Administration’s policies, including Governing for Impact. One of the most prominent donors to this network is George Soros, the radical far-left billionaire who has actively funded efforts to undermine the United States, including progressive district attorneys who will implement “soft-on-crime” policies.
