While still underwater, Joe Biden’s approval rating has surged to 45.1 percent in the latest poll conducted by Insider Advantage for the Center for American Greatness. The national survey of 500 likely voters showed that 53.8 percent of respondents disapproved of Biden’s job performance, and 1.1 percent had no opinion or were undecided. Specifically, only 26.8 percent said they wholly “approved” of the job Biden is doing, while another 18.3 percent said they “somewhat approve.”
A month ago, Biden had a 38 percent approval rating in the same poll, and in July, his approval rating reached a low of 37 percent in the Insider Advantage poll.
This survey was conducted on September 1—before Biden gave his speech in Philadelphia demonizing half the country—and has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.
Incredibly, 15.2 percent of respondents who identified as Republican said they approved of Biden’s job performance. Another 84.1 percent said they disapproved, and .07 percent were undecided, or had no opinion.
The poll showed a significant gender gap, with 51.2 percent of women approving of Biden’s job performance, compared to only 38.8 percent of men. Among white likely voters, 46.2 percent approved of Biden’s job performance. Among black likely voters, 56.9 percent approved. Only 35.8 percent of all other races approved of the job Biden is doing.
Respondents were split on the question of which party they wanted in control of Congress if the election were held today. Likely voters preferred Democrats over Republicans 44.7 percent to 43.5 percent, with 11.8 percent having no opinion, or undecided.
Biden’s term in office has been marked by a series of self-inflicted disasters and failures, including his botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, the ongoing COVID pandemic that he promised to end, out of control inflation, high gas prices, the border crisis, executive overreach, his increasingly authoritarian behavior, intentionally divisive/woke policies, his declining mental state, the recession, and lately, his demonization of Trump supporters.
