CNN Employees Fear ‘Network-Wide Purge’ Under New

Employees for the far-left cable news company CNN have quickly grown to fear that many of them will be fired by the new chairman and CEO Chris Licht, who has expressed an interest in shifting the network’s image away from that of a partisan left-wing outlet and into a more centrist, non-biased channel.

As reported by The Daily Wire, CNN employees now believe that many “woke” staffers will fall to a “network-wide purge” that is still ongoing, with the most prominent example thus far being the firing of host Brian Stelter and the cancelation of his show “Reliable Sources.”

“People are freaked out,” said one anonymous CNN employee. “It almost feels like there’s a pattern. Is there a purge going on? They seem to be sending a message: ‘Watch what you say. Watch what you do.’”

Another employee described the current mood as an “unsettling time from top to bottom,” and that no one “is happy right now.”

“Longtime CNN personalities are disappearing,” the anonymous employee added. “And the viewers don’t know why.”

Last week, CNN fired White House Correspondent John Harwood due to his increasingly far-left views, with the most recent example being a Tweet in which Harwood said that “Biden’s assertion that Trump and extremist Republicans pose a threat to American democracy is, undeniably, true.” Harwood had also previously communicated directly with Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager John Podesta, asking the Democratic operative about which questions he should ask the then-frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Jeb Bush.

The end of Stelter’s tenure at CNN sent shockwaves across the network, signaling Licht’s determination to drastically revamp the network’s public image amidst declining ratings, widespread ridicule for its blatant bias, and poor quality coverage of the news.

“I want to acknowledge that this is a time of significant change, and I know that many of you are unsettled,” Licht allegedly said during an editorial meeting call on Friday. “There will be more changes, and you might not understand it or like it.”
