White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is reportedly set to bail out of the Biden White House amid her boss’s collapsing approval ratings, and the criminal investigation into his son’s corrupt business dealings overseas. According to Axios, Psaki is in talks with MSNBC executives to host a show on the network’s streaming platform, Peacock.
Psaki’s deal is said to be similar to that of Symone Sanders, a former adviser and senior spokesperson for Kamala Harris.
Sanders, one of ten key officials who have ditched the vice president’s office in the past 14 months, signed an exclusive deal with MSNBC in January to host a show on Peacock and to participate in live programming across the network.
Psaki has apparently informed some senior officials at the White House about her departure but has not formally told the White House press team.
“MSNBC has been working with its compliance lawyers to make sure their conversations didn’t violate any government regulations, according to a source close to the matter,” Axios reported.
“Psaki’s departure is a major blow for Team Biden,” Human Events reporter Jack Posobiec noted on Twitter. “She was one of his strongest supporters in the admin along with Ron (Klain) and Jill (Biden).”
Indeed, Psaki stood proudly at the White House podium for 14 months, defending every Biden policy disaster, from his tyrannical handling of COVID, to the crisis at the border, to soaring gas prices, inflation, the politicized DOJ, and his botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. Despite her valiant efforts, poll after poll in recent months have shown Biden’s approval ratings in the cellar, and nervous Democrats are publicly airing their fears of an “electoral tsunami this November.”
Biden’s approval numbers improved slightly following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and his State of the Union address, and Democrats hoped this increase in approval would continue, but it turned out to be short-lived, with most Americans blaming Biden for the abysmal state of the U.S. economy. Now that the White House ship is sinking, other Biden officials are reportedly ready to bail.
According to Posobiec, “Psaki isn’t the only one planning to walk.”
