Joe Biden made a series of bogus claims about guns during a visit to New York City on Thursday to address skyrocketing crime rates in the city. His visit came one one day after the massive funeral for the second of two NYPD cops who were gunned down last month.
A group of protesters carrying the anti-Biden message “Let’s Go Brandon” and chanting “no vaccine mandate!” greeted Biden as he arrived at One Police Plaza just after 1 p.m., the New York Post reported.
Joe Biden was met by Anti-mandate Protesters on Thursday afternoon in NYC. Protesters could be heard chanting “Let's Go Brandon!" And “My Body, MY choice” as President Biden’s motorcade drove past the group

Biden delivered a speech touting his plan to crack down on firearms trafficking alongside fellow Democrats Mayor Eric Adams, Gov. Kathy Hochul, and Attorney General Merrick Garland.
He said it was important to make sure that “people who aren’t allowed to have a gun don’t get one in the first place”—unlike his son Hunter Biden, who obtained a gun license after lying on the registration form, and was never prosecuted.
“This doesn’t doesn’t violate anybody’s Second Amendment right,” Biden argued. “You couldn’t buy a cannon when this amendment was passed. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to buy certain assault weapons.”

Biden has been fact-checked for making the bizarre claim about cannons violating the Second Amendment in the past, but he continues to make the claim nonetheless.
“Last June, this same claim earned Four Pinocchios,” Washington Post factchecker Glenn Kessler tweeted. “We have no idea where he conjured up this notion about a ban on cannon ownership in the early days of the Republic, but he needs to stop making this claim.”
Biden also falsely claimed that gun manufacturers are “the only industry in America that is exempted from being sued by the public—the only one!”
“Imagine if that had been the way with cigarette manufacturers,” he continued. “Where the hell—where the heck would we be? We’d be in tough shape. Why gun manufacturers? Because the power of their lobbying. It’s got to end! They’ve got to be held responsible for the things they do that are irresponsible. And folks, it’s the only industry in American, as I said, that is exempt from being sued, and I find it to be outrageous.”

That was a particularly odd claim to make since Biden is currently presiding over a regime that has been trying to force vaccines that are exempt from liability onto the public.
Under the Emergency Use Authorization, the federal government has granted companies Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna immunity from liability when people are harmed by their vaccines.
If you are injured by a vaccine, you also can’t sue the Food and Drug Administration for authorizing it for emergency use, nor can you hold your employer accountable if they mandated inoculation as a condition of employment.
During his remarks, Biden also called a Glock pistol a “weapon of war.”

At no point did Biden, who has seeded his administration with anti-police radicals, call out radical Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who refuses to prosecute the crooks the police catch.
Rank-and-file cops weren’t impressed with Biden’s remarks, according to the Post.
“Typical political mumbo-jumbo. They talk a good game, but they don’t help,” a Brooklyn detective said.
“The guns are already here. We have to keep the people that we arrest with guns in jail. That is the only hope for innocent victims that get shot.”
A Staten Island cop added ruefully, “I promise you, people will get shot this weekend.”
