Patriotic young men, stop joining the military.
There is nothing for you in the ranks of our woke military. The patriotic bromides of the post-9/11 War on Terror no longer mean anything.
Young patriots should ask themselves: Do you want to go fight and die for the Biden regime? Do Taiwanese microchip factories matter more to you than seeing old age? Does the State Department’s grift in the Ukraine mean more to you than raising your children?
The answer is, or should be, no. America’s best and brightest shouldn’t die for a regime as corrupt, degenerate, and out of touch as this one.
No one can look at the two decades of blood and treasure poured into Afghanistan and still maintain trust in the ability of the Pentagon to deliver victory on the battlefield. Iraq, Libya, and Syria are all worse off for America’s “humanitarian” interventions. Yemen, crushed under the heel of America’s “ally” Saudi Arabia, suffers from one of the worst man-made famines in modern times with some 5 million on the brink of starvation.
America’s military is in a state of rapidly accelerating decline. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is trying to probe the roots of “white rage.” General Patrick Donahoe is more interested in arguing with civilians on Twitter than winning wars. Major General Jo Clyborne is busy complaining about nail polish regulations. General Xavier Brunson is playing Xbox.
Retirees like Stanley McChrystal, David Petraeus, and Jim Mattis are all involved in efforts to suckle the teat of the military-industrial complex, with varying degrees of corruption. Mattis, for instance, served on the board of directors for Theranos, the blood-testing company whose CEO, Elizabeth Holmes, was revealed as a fraud. Mattis played an instrumental role in marketing the sham technology to the military, other board members, and investors. Mattis was well compensated for his work. He received annual six-figure checks from Theranos until John Carreyrou of the Wall Street Journal revealed the perfidy at the corporation’s heart. Even then, Mattis never faced questions from Congress on the matter during his confirmation hearing as secretary of defense.
The rot runs deep.
Dear patriot, these are the brave warriors that will send you into battle. These are the men and women into whose hands you will place your life if you raise your right hand and pledge yourself to the national “defense.”
To even utter those words is a lie. The American military no longer has any connection to the nation’s security and safety. Our policymakers make no serious effort to connect the defense of Americans’ rights to the use of military force. How is America made safer by dropping bombs on Syrian civilians or maintaining a base in Turkey?
No one even attempts half-hearted justifications for these acts. Our ruling class is so detached from reality that even the calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan could not bring them back to earth.
If you love your country and want to protect it from harm there are much better places to concentrate your efforts. The ideological Left is hellbent on waging war on middle America. The riots of the summer of 2020 made that clear. The ongoing jihad from the Biden Administration against unvaccinated Americans shows that this effort has institutional support.
Young men eager to prove themselves need not put on a uniform and go through 10 weeks of sexual harassment training, antiracism classes, and the occasional session or drill to show they have what it takes. Even at today’s inflated prices, $500 at a local sporting goods store could get more 5.56 ammunition than I fired in two and a half years in the fleet. Knowing how to use a firearm and defend oneself and one’s community is a skill well worth having.
Signing away one’s soul to the Biden-Harris woke Pentagon is not required.
The older republican model didn’t view a professional “expert” military as the only noble and honorable way to serve the country. Today, when the state is actively at war with the nation, it is imperative we restore this understanding. The most powerful armies ever fielded by the United States were made up of regular citizens, not permanently standing troops.
In an age of nuclear weapons, insisting that America needs her sons to prepare for war against China or other “great powers” is absurd. Chinese divisions will never land on American shores, not in the current state of things. Insisting that America must kill terrorists “over there” so that they won’t kill innocent civilians “over here” is just as questionable. A secure border and sane immigration policy would actually solve the problem. All 19 of the 9/11 hijackers entered the United States legally.
Refusing to serve a corrupt military establishment is not the same as becoming a radical pacifist; it does not make you a coward, nor does it mean you are a liberal. Liberal Democrats (as Attorney General Merrick Garland’s use of counterterrorism tools against right-leaning parents demonstrates) have no problem with the national security state—as long as it is aimed at MAGA moms and heartland Americans.
Joining the military in the attempt to “take over” the Department of Defense from the inside is a sucker’s game. The institution is set up to prevent any kind of spirited conservative faction from asserting itself. The constant shuffling of personnel through Permanent Change of Station orders, the vaccine mandate, the constant grind of promotions, and the politically weaponized use of the Uniform Code of Military Justice all ensure that any kind of internal effort at reform will go absolutely nowhere.
Congress, in its current state, will never hold the woke Pentagon or the military-industrial complex accountable. The only tool the people have to demand change is to stop feeding their bodies and minds into the maw of the machine. But that, in itself, is a powerful tool. A recruiting crisis, more than anything else, will create pressure on senior leaders to reconsider their sharp leftward turn.
For too long, the military has treated the men and women under its thumb like little more than a raw resource, mere numbers to be shoved into boxes and shipped overseas. The mandatory COVID vaccination order has ripped the mask off completely. Joe Biden and his lackeys believe they have an unlimited right to do whatever they want to the bodies of service members under their command. They need only the most meager of rationalizations.
Enough is enough. When the recruiter comes calling, just say no.
