Woke Warriors Undermine American Legitimacy

As planeloads of Afghan civilians flee the scourge of the Taliban, one wonders how many planes will return to Afghanistan with black-clad social justice warriors who fought police through 2020 in the name of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Taliban represents, by deed and word, the very oppression, bigotry, and social injustice that 2020 protestors projected onto their fellow Americans. Women, if they are allowed to work at all, will be required to wear full head-to-toe burqas. LGBTQ+ people within Afghanistan will be summarily executed. Schools won’t teach social justice because they will be closed or converted to jihadi madrassas.

Of course, none of our thousands of “courageous” protestors will lift a finger to fight any real oppression, racism, or bigotry. They would be cowards in the face of a force that can actually fight back. The Taliban carry guns and would not hesitate to shoot an opponent mid-screech, once they overcome their laughter enough to take steady aim.

The domestic social justice warriors are frauds. They don’t fight against racism unless they know that their targets are not going to fight back and are not really guilty of anything. The truth is, these people love mob action and would have donned the same black shirts to fight for social justice in 1930s Italy alongside Mussolini. Yes, Hitler and Mussolini also provided moral cover to violence by claiming to redress past ethnic injustices.

To paraphrase Aaron Sorkin’s Colonel Jessup, the American social justice movement needs a protective ring of patriotic Americans to insulate their bubble of social justice fantasy. While the Taliban would approve the destruction of our founding fathers’ statues and the fifth column disruption perpetrated by these spoiled brats, they would not hesitate to execute any woman who did not cover her blue hair and tattoos.

The Taliban’s blitz through the American-trained regular Afghan army is a stinging rebuke to a now-woke American military that promotes its leadership based on the ability to memorize and repeat political slogans. For two decades our military, the people who protect us, imparted their best military doctrines and much of our advanced equipment to the Afghans who, in turn, pissed it away to the Taliban in a matter of days. Woke makes a fighting force into a joke. That’s a lesson we desperately need to learn before our enemies can exploit our spreading ideological corruption.

After being AWOL on vacation in the critical days of unfolding chaos, Biden finally emerged from hiding to comment on the disaster in Afghanistan. But instead of saying anything useful, Biden used his August 16 speech to recount all the times he followed the path of political purity. Biden spent much of the speech reminding us of his “foresight” in taking the best “positions” early in the war. He was against the surge. He told the president of Afghanistan to make a deal with the Taliban.

Biden also blamed Trump’s deal with the Taliban for the chaos, noting that the deal called for the withdrawal by May 1st of this year. It’s mid-August. So what did Joe Biden do with the additional three and a half months? Biden took no questions after the speech for the obvious reason that he has no answers.

When a social justice warrior bleats about institutional racism, offer to take up a collection to fund an expedition to Kabul so he can stage a mass demonstration against real oppression, real social injustice, and real intolerance. These idiots scream at and condemn the arsenal of freedom that makes their hypocrisy possible. This week, the rising darkness smothering freedom grew yet darker, larger, and just a little closer to Portland, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C.

Afghanistan proves that modern weaponry, superior numbers, and fortifications mean nothing when your defenses are paralyzed with political corruption. Indeed, one can look at the southern border of the United States to see something similar on display as millions of illegal immigrants scoff at American law to stream past our defenses to settle and occupy our homeland.

The Soviet puppet government in Afghanistan lasted almost three years after the Soviets withdrew in 1989. Ours lasted less than a month after occupying the country for twice as long. But the Soviets were not plagued by utopian State Department apparatchiks with expensive degrees from prestigious universities.

America needs to wake up to the reality that social justice warriors weaken and delegitimize our defenses against real oppression. The Afghan soldiers didn’t believe in the legitimacy of their own government. That’s a strategic weakness that simply cannot be overcome. We need to stop lionizing the ingrates who actively but fraudulently undermine our nation’s legitimacy.
