Morning Greatness: Fauci Proclaims He *IS* Science

Good Thursday morning.

Two minutes of hate:

Dr. Anthony Fauci, a political celebrity masquerading as a public health official, is lashing out at his critics. Calls to fire Fauci have grown louder following the release of his emails that showed he gave inconsistent information to the public on the need for masks and raised questions about his involvement/knowledge of funding gain of function research at the Wuhan Bat Virus Factory.

“It’s very dangerous,” Fauci told MSNBC. “A lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science, because all of the things that I have spoken about consistently from the very beginning, have been fundamentally based on science.”

He added, “People want to fire me or put me in jail for what I’ve done — namely, follow the science.”

Fauci also dismissed early questions about whether the virus leaked from the nearby Bat Virus Factory however the leak theory is gaining credibility now that Donald Trump is out of office. You see, science and medicine are only viewed in a context of political utility. So long as Trump was in office, anything related to the virus was considered “science” if it increased people’s misery and the death count because that would look bad for Trump’s reelection. This is why we have few therapeutics (and promotion of those therapeutics) for those who have been infected. Positive test takers were just sent away with the hope they wouldn’t plow into the E.R. gasping for breath. The more misery inflicted on the public, the more people blamed Trump and the more the “science” contradicted Trump (HCQ, lab leak, Ivermectin) the more incompetent he appeared to voters.

So now Fauci is trying to pretend he’s a “scientist” and not a political actor. But you don’t stay in government as long as he has and rise to the level he has without being a political actor.
