Children’s Show ‘Blue’s Clues’ Releases Song Featuring Same-Sex Couples, Transgender Children, Drag Queens

The Nickelodeon’s children’s show “Blue’s Clues” released a music video on YouTube featuring a drag queen singing with same-sex couples, and transgender children with breast scars during a parade for Pride Month.

To the tune of the children’s song, “The Ants Go Marching,” drag queen Nina West urges the young audience to celebrate gay, lesbian, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, and bisexual parents.

The drag queen, who is holding a microphone with a “black power” fist symbol, urges the young audience to celebrate gay, lesbian, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, and bisexual parents.

The singer points to a parade of animals, some that had undergone sex realignment and one of which has a family with “two mommies … [who] love each other so proudly.” Another child is featured, brought up by two fathers.

Another set of animal characters featured represented bisexual and pansexual adults.

“Families marching four by four. Hurrah! Hurrah! Trans members of this family, they love each other so proudly and they all go marching in the big parade,” the song said.

“This house is a family of kings and queens,” West sings.

“Love is love is love, you see,” the song concludes.

The cartoon ended with West wishing viewers a happy Pride Month.

“Everyone should love proudly and we’ll all go marching in the big parade. Thanks Blue, happy Pride Month,” West’s character said.
