Four Suspects on the FBI’s Terror Watchlist Arrested at the Border Since October

Since October, four terrorists who are on the FBI’s terror watchlist have been arrested trying to sneak across the southern border, as reported by Fox News.

The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed the news to Congress on Tuesday, revealing that three of the detained terrorists were from Yemen, while the fourth is from Serbia. This is down slightly from the fiscal year 2018, where six members on the terror watchlist, from Yemen and Bangladesh, were arrested at the border.

This announcement further confirms Republican-led concerns about the ongoing crisis at the border, which has seen a massive surge in illegal immigration due to Joe Biden’s promises on the campaign trail of amnesty and open-borders policies that would benefit illegal aliens. Some projections indicate that the surge could see illegal immigration reach its highest levels in 20 years, and many point out that such a spike in illegal and largely unchecked border crossings could present a whole new public health threat in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

A group of Republican members of Congress toured the border on Monday, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). Some members even raised concerns about the possibility of terrorists being amongst the illegals who are allowed in due to Biden’s relaxation of immigration restrictions implemented by President Donald Trump.

Congressman John Katko (R-N.Y.) said at the border that “we need to wake up,” since “individuals that they have on the watchlist for terrorism are now starting to exploit the southern border.”

The Biden Administration has continued to deny that there is a crisis at the border, despite mounting criticism from both parties and increased scrutiny by even the mainstream media.
