Yes, President Trump, The Nation Sorely Misses You

During his address at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), former President Donald Trump asked the large crowd, “Do you miss me yet?”

If only he knew how much.

In the span of six short weeks, America has gone from a nation of dignity, respect, and safety to one of ridicule, danger, and risk. Seriously.

Thanks, Joe! Wherever you are!

Some examples are in order.

First, Joe Biden has systematically gutted Trump’s strict immigration policies and has, once again, allowed people to flout U.S. immigration laws. Biden recently decided to cancel Operation Talon, a program that Trump implemented to remove convicted sex offenders living in the United States illegally.

According to Human Events, state attorneys general throughout the country recently signed a letter in which they opposed this cancellation and voiced their concerns with Biden’s decision:

The United States’ population of illegal immigrants includes disturbingly large numbers of criminals with prior convictions for sexual crimes. According to data collected by Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, during the period from October 2014 to May 2018 ICE arrested 19,572 illegal aliens with criminal convictions for whom the most serious prior conviction was a conviction for a sex-related offense.

Meanwhile, an increasing number of illegal aliens are entering the United States after having been previously convicted of sexual offenses. The cancellation of [Operation Talon] effectively broadcasts to the world that the United States is now a sanctuary jurisdiction for sexual predators. This message creates a perverse incentive for foreign sexual predators to seek to enter the United States illegally and assault more victims, both in the process of unlawful migration and after they arrive. It will also broadcast the message to other criminal aliens who have committed other offenses that any kind of robust enforcement against them is unlikely.

Biden’s loose and nonsensical immigration policies have also jeopardized the health of American citizens. Specifically, a group of migrants who were recently released in Brownsville, Texas tested positive for the coronavirus. As reported in Border Report:

In the Gulf Coast city of Brownsville, 108 migrants released during the past month have shown to be carrying the coronavirus, U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, said Wednesday. And he says that is putting the South Texas border community, as well as the volunteers who help them, and the border agents, at risk.

They tested some of the people who got put at the bus station in Brownsville and according to the rapid tests, about 108 tested positive. So basically that creates a situation that they are letting people who are positive (for coronavirus) get on buses and with the permission of Homeland Security they can go anywhere in the United States,” Cuellar said during an online news conference.

His comments prompted outcry from Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott, who late Wednesday blamed the Biden Administration on social media and called the release of migrants “a callous act.”

In other words, Biden, who promised to “control” the spread of the coronavirus, has enhanced the risk by virtue of his irresponsible immigration and border policies, and has put the interests and safety of American citizens last.

Biden (with his left-liberal allies in Congress) has also decided to jeopardize and undermine the nation’s police by supporting the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. According to a Fox News report:

Championed by civil rights groups, the wide-ranging bill would overhaul standards for police tactics and conduct at the federal level. Prominent measures include a federal ban on no-knock warrants and chokeholds, limits on qualified immunity shielding police from civil lawsuits, a framework to prevent racial profiling and the establishment of a national registry on allegations of police misconduct.

Democrats and prominent civil rights groups argue the overhaul is necessary to combat systemic racism and prevent future police-involved deaths.

Republican opposition has centered in part on the bid to end qualified immunity. Critics, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) argue that removing the liability shield would undermine public safety and make it difficult to recruit new police.

The nation’s police officers have difficult and dangerous jobs. They serve to protect Americans and put their lives on the line every day. The proposed “reforms” would not only force police officers to second-guess what they do in circumstances that require split-second decisions but would also compel those considering a career in law enforcement to think twice about taking on enhanced risk and possible legal liability.

Biden’s blunders don’t stop there. He also canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, which eliminated many high-paying union jobs, undermined Trump’s astounding progress toward peace in the Middle East, supported teachers’ unions at the expense of American families trying to make a living, and reduced consumer and business confidence.

Six weeks into the Biden Administration and a Democratic Party-controlled Congress, our borders are dangerously porous; COVID-infected migrants are freely entering and staying in the country; police officers are less safe, less protected, and more vulnerable; and those previously convicted of certain types of crimes are free to stay in the country despite the fact that they are here illegally. As a result of Biden’s policies, Americans have lost jobs, consumer confidence is down, and tensions in the Middle-East are worsening.

In just six weeks, America is less safe.

In just six weeks, America is more vulnerable.

In just six weeks, America is less respected.

In just six weeks, America is less prosperous.

So, yes, President Trump. America sorely misses you!
