Trump Blasts the ‘Headhunting Prosecutors and AGs’ Who Are Trying to Take Him Down With a ‘Democrat-Inspired’ ‘Fishing Expedition’

Former President Donald Trump on Monday issued a statement following the Supreme Court’s decision to allow the Manhattan District Attorney to subpoena his tax records, calling it a “continuation of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country.”

In its ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court directed Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, to comply with Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s wide-ranging subpoena requiring the release of Trump’s tax records and financial documents to a grand jury.

Vance first began investigating Trump in 2018, initially targeting hush-money payments made to a blackmailing adult film star named Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

Vance’s office has since indicated in court filings that his investigation has expanded to search for possible crimes such as fraud and tax evasion.

The records will not be subject to public disclosure unless Vance’s investigation results in criminal charges against the former president.

Trump, now the opposition leader to the tyrannical left-wing oligarchy that assumed power on Jan. 20, stated that Vance’s “fishing expedition” was a continuation of of the “never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated, ‘Russia Russia Russia,’ where there was a finding of ‘No Collusion,’ or two ridiculous ‘Crazy Nancy’ inspired impeachment attempts where I was found NOT GUILTY.”

The statement from the Office of the Former President continues:

The Supreme Court never should have let this “fishing expedition” happen, but they did. This is something which has never happened to a President before, it is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The new phenomenon of “headhunting” prosecutors and AGs—who try to take down their political opponents using the law as a weapon—is a threat to the very foundation of our liberty. That’s what is done in third world countries. Even worse are those who run for prosecutorial or attorney general offices in far-left states and jurisdictions pledging to take out a political opponent. That’s fascism, not justice—and that is exactly what they are trying to do with respect to me, except that the people of our Country won’t stand for it.

In the meantime, murders and violent crime are up in New York City by record numbers, and nothing is done about it. Our elected officials don’t care. All they focus on is the persecution of President Donald J. Trump.

“I will fight on, just as I have, for the last five years (even before I was successfully elected), despite all of the election crimes that were committed against me. We will win!” the former president promised.

Trump is scheduled to address the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida on Sunday, where he will reportedly discuss his plan to challenge to Joe Biden (or Kamala Harris) in 2024, or another Democrat, should Biden, who’ll be 82 in four years, decide not to run for a second term.
