Gay Campground Criticized for Excluding ‘Transgender Men’

The Left is attacking a campground that aims to exclusively serve gay men because it will not allow “transgenders,” women who believe they are men, as reported by Breitbart.

Camp Boomerang RV Park and Campground in Orleans, Michigan is a members-only area that, according to cofounder Bryan Quinn, “allows only ‘guys.’” The statement specifically says that only someone who “presents himself as male and has a state-issued ID that says ‘male’” is allowed to become a member.

Quinn went on to admit that “this statement, unfortunately, may not make everyone happy,” but he nevertheless “feels it needs to be clarified.” He described his vision for the campground as “a comfortable, safe, non-confrontational environment,” and that “being a ‘private membership-only’ entity allows us the ability to build a like-minded atmosphere.”

As such, far-left “transgender” activists on social media are criticizing the facility for excluding women who think they are men, describing the camp’s policy as “transphobic and disgusting,” encouraging others to boycott the campground, and describing its management as part of a “gay male focused establishment” using “prejudicial policies against our trans brothers.”

Quinn doubled down in a subsequent response on Facebook, simply saying that “if you don’t like the rules, quietly leave.”

The targeted outrage shows the latest signs of division within the Left over the issue of “transgenderism,” with the Biden Administration pledging to enact more federal protections for the extremely small minority group.

Biden has already faced widespread criticism from feminists for these policies, which are seen as erasing women’s identity in favor of the transgender belief that gender doesn’t exist. He has signed multiple executive orders reversing Trump-era policies that protected women from being forced to use the same facilities as “transgender” men, and has called on Congress to pass the Equality Act, a bill which would essentially eliminate legal recognition of the two genders.
