Trump Campaign Seeks Emergency Injunction in Nevada to Pause Counting of Potentially Invalid Ballots

The Trump Campaign announced Wednesday that it would file an emergency injunction to pause the counting of potentially invalid ballots in Nevada, and challenge the refusal of election officials in the state to allow Republican poll watchers access to the counting.

“We believe that there are dead voters that have been counted. We are also confident that there are thousands of people whose votes have been counted that have moved out of Clark County during the pandemic,” former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, a Republican Iraq War vet, told reporters during a press conference.

Laxalt said thousands of suspicious ballots were mailed across the Los Vegas valley where people were sent as many as 18 ballots to their homes.

For days, the former state AG has been sounding the alarm on Twitter about the election irregularities.

“We knew these [voter] rolls are unclean,” he said. “We were told that signatures would save us from fraud, but to date, we have not been able to observe these signatures or meaningfully challenge a single mail-in ballot our of hundreds of thousands cast.”

Laxalt added, “we firmly believe that there are many voters in this group … that are not proper voters.”

Former Acting Department of National Intelligence director Ric Grenell blamed the potential of fraud on “Harry Reid’s machine.”

“The Harry Reid machine recklessly threw ballots into the mail, and now we cannot check whether or not there are non-residents, [of] which we have evidence, publicly available evidence, that you all in the media should be also looking at,” Grenell said.

“It’s publicly available information that non-residents have voted. There is a 30-day residency requirement in the state of Nevada. If you haven’t been in the state for 30 days, it is illegal to vote,” he said.

Grenell continued, “We are filing this federal lawsuit to protect legal voters. It is unacceptable in this country to have illegal votes counted, and that is what’s happening in the state of Nevada. We’ve asked Clark County for answers, they have no answers. They continue to count illegal votes.”

Grenell went on to argue that “transparency is not political” and that “ballots are not legal votes until they’re checked.”

The Trump campaign says it has seen evidence of votes being counted in the name of dead residents, along with non-residents and residents who have not lived in the state for the required 30-day minimum. This is “publicly available evidence that you all in the media are able to check,” Grenell challenged the reporters covering the event.

Also present at the press conference was resident Jill Stokke, who says she was denied her right to vote after being told she had already cast a ballot. KLAS reports that the 79-year-old woman, who is blind and needs help filling out ballots, says she went to vote in-person after never receiving her mail-in ballot, only for Clark County election officials to tell her, “You can’t vote because your signature matched. I said, ‘It couldn’t match, because I didn’t vote.’”

“A lawyer told me they probably won’t let me because their machine shows I’ve already voted,” Stokke said. “I know I did not vote and I’m not going to have this taken away from me.”

The press conference followed President Trump’s announcement on Twitter Thursday morning that all states recently claimed as wins for Joe Biden will be legally challenged by his team for voter fraud and election fraud.

In a tweet censored by Twitter, the president said: “All of the recent Biden claimed States will be legally challenged by us for Voter Fraud and State Election Fraud. Plenty of proof – just check out the Media. WE WILL WIN! America First!”

Another Trump tweet saying “STOP THE FRAUD!” was also censored by Twitter.

Twitter went on to censor Trump Campaign officials who tried to share good news about the president’s big court victory in Pennsylvania today.

The president signaled in a statement released by the Trump Campaign that he has no intention of conceding the election amid rampant voter fraud and an illegitimate ballot counting process in contested states.

“IF YOU COUNT THE LEGAL VOTES, I EASILY WIN THE ELECTION! IF YOU COUNT THE ILLEGAL AND LATE VOTES, THEY CAN STEAL THE ELECTION FROM US!” the president said.

The Trump Campaign on Thursday established a hotline for  people to report any voter suppression, irregularities or fraud they have witnessed.

Update:

Former Fox News reporter Adam Housley reported that a family of registered voters in Nevada were shocked to discover that their votes weren’t counted after voting in person a week and a half before the election.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted that he has seen an “insane” number of number of stories like that.
