Election Day Validated the Greatness Agenda

The 2020 election resoundingly validates President Trump’s America First policies.

That is the incontestable reality no matter how the vote counts are contested in days and weeks to come.

What are those policies?

Allegiance to national sovereignty rather than submission to transnational authorities.

Championing American citizens rather than “global citizens” of a borderless world.

Restricting immigration to end the downward pressure on Americans’ wages.

Bringing jobs and industries back to America. Ending our reliance on Communist China and the cheap foreign labor of “global supply chains.” Buying and hiring American.

Rejecting free-trade orthodoxy and defending American workers and small businesses against the predations of a global corporate oligarchy. Advancing economic nationalism rather than globalism.

Restoring government by elected representatives rather than rule by a permanent administrative state bureaucracy accountable to no one.

Ending the endless wars, military adventures that drain our blood and treasure while destroying traditional culture here and abroad.

Rebuilding America rather than embarking on nation-building projects around the world.

Breaking up the monopolies that control our media, technology, and economy and have an undue influence over our society and government.

Rejecting neo-Marxist ideology. Standing up for Western civilization, Judeo-Christian culture, and traditional values of God, personal responsibility, and protection of the inalienable rights granted by our Creator, not the government.

It was under this banner that President Trump brought record numbers of blacks, Latinos, and blue-collar Americans into the Republican fold.

Trump’s historic victory in Florida is a case in point.

Some 55 percent of Florida’s Cuban-American vote, 30 percent of the Puerto Rican vote, and 48 percent of “other Latinos” backed President Trump, according to NBC News exit polls. They are familiar with the poison of socialism and rejected the radical leftist policies of the Democratic Party.

At the same time, about 26 percent of black men with a high school diploma or less supported Trump, as did 22 percent of black men with bachelor’s degrees and 20 percent of black men with advanced degrees. Some 1-in-3 black men living in the Midwest also voted for him—many of whom are likely to be union members.

Chalk it up to Trumpism’s elevation of economic interest—personal and national—over transnational racial and gender identity.

President Trump’s party is now the party of working people rather than the country club set. The Democratic Party has become the party of professionals—financiers, academics, tech entrepreneurs, and credentialed elites.

The American people validated President Trump’s America First policies on November 3. The president’s personality—not his policies—caused many to cast ballots for the placeholder on the Democratic Party ticket.

President Trump remade the Republican Party. However the courts and vote counters decide the outcome of this election, there is no going back to the status quo ante no matter how much Paul Ryan and his neoliberal ilk try.

And try they will.
