The ‘Lizard Brain’ Left

In a timely pre-election reminder, a perpetual political truism is, once again, demonstrated: the Left projects its own sins onto its victims.

The latest proof stems from historian Jon Meacham who, as Jonathan Turley records, causally slandered Trump supporters:

I think Trump did himself good with his base tonight,’ Meacham said [following the second and final presidential debate]. ‘The question for America is how big that base is. There is a lizard brain in this country. Donald Trump is a product of the white man’s, the anguished, nervous white guy’s lizard brain.’

Turley provides the definition of the psychological term used by the historian Meacham: “Many people call it the ‘Lizard Brain,’ because the limbic system is about all a lizard has for brain function. It is in charge of fight, flight, feeding, fear, freezing up, and fornication.”

Since introspection holds little allure for elitists, let us enlighten Meacham about another psychological term—“projection”—by applying the above definition of “lizard brain” to him and his left-liberal ilk.

Fight: The “resistance” has been seditious in waging a war against a duly-elected president since November 2016, including protests, riots, an unfounded special counsel investigation, and a sham impeachment proceeding, to name but a few instances.

Flight: Bruce Springsteen is the latest lefty celebrity vowing to leave the United States, in this instance for Australia, should Trump be reelected. This raises the question: what has Australia done to deserve this punishment? And why should any of these posers be believed, since they all broke their promises to leave after Trump won in 2016?

Feeding: The Left is committed to ensuring ever more Americans feed off the public teat. As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) herself noted, “We feed them.” Unfortunately, history shows sooner or later the Left runs out of teats; and there are never enough stomach antacids to alleviate the American taxpayers’ heartburn.

Freezing Up: Be it through cliched insults, cognitive dissonance, or being caught in their hypocrisy, all it takes is a positive reference to “Orange Man Bad” for the Left to get brain freeze faster than somebody draining a Big Gulp Slurpee.

Fornication: This is not merely a metaphor for what the Left’s policies will do to America. Depending on what your definition of sex is, Chelsea Handler has suggested it is what she has in store for Mr. 50 Cent if he stopped praising Trump. While 50 Cent has stopped praising Trump, there is no word if Handler has carried out her threat.

Yes, the Lizard Brain Left exists. It spews and projects. Is there hope? According to Turley:

An article headlined ‘Why Your Lizard Brain is Keeping You Stuck and Specific Tools To Start Connecting’ . . . states: ‘ . . . Brain imaging has shown that when the [lizard brain] is activated by negative emotions, it actually interferes with the brain’s ability to solve problems (or figure out how to get unstuck). But here’s the good news: positive emotions and thoughts do the opposite; they help you with creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.’

I am hesitant to differ with the esteemed Professor Turley; however, given the calls from the Left for the reeducation and/or eradication of over 60 million Trump supporters, I’m not sensing a lot of positive vibes from the Lizard Brain Left.

Especially after Trump wins.
