The FBI reportedly asked Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski to sit for an interview on Friday, and to turn over copies of his cell phones.
Bobulinski went on the record Thursday to accuse former Vice President Joe Biden of lying about his involvement with his son’s shady business dealings with foreign entities.
The whistleblower was listed as the recipient of an email published by the New York Post that detailed a business arrangement involving a Chinese firm and members of the Biden family. He confirmed in a statement Thursday that the email is “genuine,” and that Joe Biden himself was involved in the family’s overseas financial schemes.
Bobulinski was scheduled to be interviewed by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Friday morning, but that meeting had to be postponed.
“I appreciate that the FBI has a job to do, and I am glad they are finally taking an interest in these concerning financial matters that our Committees have been investigating for months,” Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said.
“I expect that Mr. Bobulinski will speak with our committee as soon as possible and fully share his insights into the Biden family’s business dealings,” said Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin.
In his blockbuster statement, Bobulinski, a former Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and CEO of SinoHawk Holdings, said Hunter Biden frequently asked his dad to sign off on his influence peddling operations.
“The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist controlled China,” he wrote.
A bombshell text exchange between James Gilliar, another business partner of Hunter Biden’s, and Bobulinski, discussed how to conceal the involvement of Joe Biden in a deal being planned with CEFC, a Chinese Communist government-linked energy firm.
“Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when you are face to face,” the text reads.
"U need to stress to H[unter], does he want to be the reason or factor that blows up his dad's campaign," James Gilliar told Tony Bobulinski about the specter of Hunter's foreign business dealings torpedoing Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign plans. pic.twitter.com/akezdtsbOQ

During a press conference in Nashville, Tennessee two hours before the presidential debate on Thursday, the whistleblower revealed that he’d had an hour-long meeting with former Vice President Joe Biden in May of 2017 to discuss a joint venture between the Bidens and CEFC.
“In my approximately hour long meeting with Joe that night, we discussed Biden’s history, the Biden’s family business dealing plans with the Chinese, with which he was plainly familiar, at least at a high level,” Bobulinski said.
The Biden family business partner, Tony Bobulinski, has now VERIFIED that @JoeBiden got millions from China!
The media will refuse to cover, but the emails, texts, and now a key witness has proven it!

Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed that he had nothing to do with Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings.
“I’ve heard Joe Biden say that he’s never discussed business with Hunter, that is FALSE,” Bobulinski alleged. “I have first-hand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” he added.
Attorney Harmeet Dhillon of Dhillon Law had some advice for Bobulinski ahead of his FBI interview, given the Bureau’s untrustworthy track record in recent years.
“I do hope Bobulinski has had his own lawyers take a digital mirror backup of each device before handing it over,” Dhillon tweeted. “I would NOT trust the FBI on this right now, with apologies to the great men and women who serve — leadership has been tainted and not held accountable.”
President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani suggested on Twitter Friday that the FBI was not taking the scandal seriously, since the Bureau took possession of Hunter Biden’s computer and hard drive in December of 2019 and apparently did nothing about it.
“Did anyone tell the Director this man’s story of Biden corruption has been on the Biden hardrive, FBI has had it for 10 months and it’s only after I reveled(sic) it that they pay attention. Something really wrong,” the former New York City mayor tweeted.

Last week, 19 GOP lawmakers sent a letter to the FBI, arguing it would have been a “gross error in judgment” if the agency had the material but withheld it from Trump’s legal team during the House impeachment hearings.
“If the FBI was, in fact, in possession of this evidence and failed to alert the White House to its existence that would have given even more weight to the president’s legal defense, this was a gross error in judgment and a severe violation of trust,” the letter stated.
