‘This is Digital Civil War’: NY Post Editor Fumes After Facebook and Twitter Censor Biden Bombshell

Both Facebook and Twitter are censoring a bombshell story in the New York Post that implicates Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his ne’er-do-well son Hunter Biden in major corruption involving Ukraine.

Blockbuster emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop reveal that he introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a Ukrainian energy executive.

Sohrab Ahmari, the op-ed editor for the Post expressed outrage on Twitter over the censorship, calling it a “Big Tech information coup” and a “digital civil war.”

“I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden,” said Ahmari.

Facebook’s communication’s director Andy Stone announced earlier Wednesday that Facebook was “reducing distribution” of Hunter Biden bombshell while it is being “fact checked” by their “fact-checking partners.”

Stone is a former employee of two Democratic members of Congress and also worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

In a shocking report back in August, investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson found that 18 of 20 Facebook “independent” fact checkers have ties to political activist Soros or his foundations.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) sent Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg a formal letter Wednesday demanding that he explain his decision to censor the NY Post’s “sourced reporting.”

Not long after Facebook announced it was “limiting” the NY Post’s story, Twitter also censored the paper’s tweet.

The Federalist’s Sean Davis called the censorship “brazen, blatant election interference from illegal tech monopolies trying to steal the election.”

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway pointed out that this is the same media and big tech industry that was happy to spread disinformation about Trump and Russia.

“They must be stopped before they destroy the country,” she wrote.

Robbie Starbuck decried what he called a “ministry of truth run by Democrats.”

Omni Ceren, the national security advisor for Sen. Ted Cruz noted that Twitter brazenly tagged the GOP House Judiciary Committee’s retweet of the explosive story as “unsafe” amid the ongoing debate “over the extent to which they act as a publisher.”

It’s no secret that the tech industry has joined the political fray in recent years, always taking the side of the liberal ruling class, but in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election, they have gone all in.

Update:

On Wednesday afternoon, Twitter locked the NY Post’s account.

“Has Twitter ever locked the account of a major news outlet?” asked Sen. Hawley.

Hawley said he would ask the FEC whether Facebook and Twitter’s “coordinated intervention for the Biden campaign constitutes a violation of campaign finance or other election laws.”

Rep Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) noted on Twitter: “Big Tech wants to control what you see so they can control what you think and how you act.”

The icing on the cake:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) sent Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey a letter asking a series of questions about the platform’s decision the censor the New York Post.

Update:

The president posed for a picture with the NY Post headline while seated behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office before leaving D.C. for a campaign rally in Iowa.

  1. Keep your powder dry folks. It looks like the democrats and their media and tech allies are going to try and steal the election. It is plain now that only democrat favorable and approved facts are true and everything else must be censored. If Trump wins the election they may censor the results until a plausible line of BS can be put out for a Biden win.

  2. The “alphabet” media is also censoring this story. I looked at the web sites of all six “over air” television media stations here in Houston. Not one mentioned the story. Neither did the Chronicle (local fishwrap).

  3. Thanks everybody who is scared to death of covid and wearing silly, non-protective masks. Note–all FB has to say now is it’s not “safe.” Everything now is “safe” or “unsafe,” not “true” or “false.:

Because of this silly hysteria, the Harvard Crimson just had an editorial claiming the Young Republicans’ endorsement of the president made the campus “unsafe” for certain students.

As good and bold as PDT is, the Big Tech people and other globalist leftists are going to have us seen as a chicken country, a “paper tiger,” just like Bin Laden said—that was his reason for going ahead with terrorism, when we didn’t respond to earlier attacks. He said he knew then we were a “paper tiger.”

  4. I’m thinking that this is what we get for not joining and promoting that thing called Parlor, and/or Jordan Peterson’s Intellectual Dark Web. We can’t trust Facebook. Sharyl Attkisson proved that back in August when she made her discovery about the so called “fact checkers”.

  5. What this Post story exposes is the well known secret that Hunter Biden profited wildly off of his father’s name and position. It is not news; it is confirmation of what we knew but could not prove. We only have this article because Hunter’s drug addiction makes him sloppy. The Heinz, Kerry, Pelosi, and Clinton children are more careful, as are probably dozens of other politically connected families, and their corruption is undoubtedly as complete as Hunter’s. Our media protect the corrupt and attack the innocent. They are the enemy of the American people.

  6. There should be a coalition of conservative media to sponsor using alternatives to FakeBook and TWITTLE. The greatest pressure could be achieved by organizing a boycott against the advertisers supporting those offensive liberal clowns. I had a FB account for a short time, and it had no value. Never had a need for TWITTLEDEE.
