‘This is Digital Civil War’: NY Post Editor Fumes After Facebook and Twitter Censor Biden Bombshell

Both Facebook and Twitter are censoring a bombshell story in the New York Post that implicates Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his ne’er-do-well son Hunter Biden in major corruption involving Ukraine.

Blockbuster emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop reveal that he introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a Ukrainian energy executive.

Sohrab Ahmari, the op-ed editor for the Post expressed outrage on Twitter over the censorship, calling it a “Big Tech information coup” and a “digital civil war.”

“I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden,” said Ahmari.

Facebook’s communication’s director Andy Stone announced earlier Wednesday that Facebook was “reducing distribution” of Hunter Biden bombshell while it is being “fact checked” by their “fact-checking partners.”

Stone is a former employee of two Democratic members of Congress and also worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

In a shocking report back in August, investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson found that 18 of 20 Facebook “independent” fact checkers have ties to political activist Soros or his foundations.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) sent Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg a formal letter Wednesday demanding that he explain his decision to censor the NY Post’s “sourced reporting.”

Not long after Facebook announced it was “limiting” the NY Post’s story, Twitter also censored the paper’s tweet.

The Federalist’s Sean Davis called the censorship “brazen, blatant election interference from illegal tech monopolies trying to steal the election.”

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway pointed out that this is the same media and big tech industry that was happy to spread disinformation about Trump and Russia.

“They must be stopped before they destroy the country,” she wrote.

Robbie Starbuck decried what he called a “ministry of truth run by Democrats.”

Omni Ceren, the national security advisor for Sen. Ted Cruz noted that Twitter brazenly tagged the GOP House Judiciary Committee’s retweet of the explosive story as “unsafe” amid the ongoing debate “over the extent to which they act as a publisher.”

It’s no secret that the tech industry has joined the political fray in recent years, always taking the side of the liberal ruling class, but in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election, they have gone all in.

Update:

On Wednesday afternoon, Twitter locked the NY Post’s account.

“Has Twitter ever locked the account of a major news outlet?” asked Sen. Hawley.

Hawley said he would ask the FEC whether Facebook and Twitter’s “coordinated intervention for the Biden campaign constitutes a violation of campaign finance or other election laws.”

Rep Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) noted on Twitter: “Big Tech wants to control what you see so they can control what you think and how you act.”

The icing on the cake:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) sent Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey a letter asking a series of questions about the platform’s decision the censor the New York Post.

Update:

The president posed for a picture with the NY Post headline while seated behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office before leaving D.C. for a campaign rally in Iowa.
