North Carolina Race Tightens According To New Poll

The North Carolina race has tightened according to a new survey by Susquehanna Polling and Research for the Center for American Greatness.

The phone survey of 500 likely voters conducted October 7-11 showed Biden with 48 percent and Trump with 46 percent support, with a 4.3 percent margin of error. This 2-point margin is closer than polls done earlier in the month that showed a lead of 3-4 points. The poll also showed Trump with a better favorability rating than Biden (45 percent-42 percent). Trump has increased his lead among non-college educated voters where he bests Biden 55-39. This is more than the 10 point lead he had over Clinton in 2016 with this important group according to exit polling.

The Senate race is also getting closer after revelations that Democratic challenger Cal Cunningham was cheating on his wife with a colleague came to light. The poll shows Cunningham with a smaller lead of 46-44 over incumbent Thom Tillis.
