Morning Greatness: Kamala’s Face, Pence’s Fly Steal Show at Vice-President Debate

Good Thursday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president has no public events on the schedule.

Two minutes of hate:

Last night we had the vice presidential debate. One big media takeaway from the debate was that a fly landed on VP Mike Pence’s head. That’s the media for you, so stunning, so brave with their analysis and insight. Here are just a few points I want to discuss.

Pence had a disadvantage as far as media coverage goes because he’s a man and anytime he tried to argue or dispute the disinformation campaign coming from Kamala, he’d be accused of sexism. Nevertheless, I think he did a good job. Kamala spewed out the predicable talking points: the “good people on both sides” and the Eurotrash countries don’t like us, won’t answer if Biden/Harris will pack the court, and Trump knew there was a deadly pandemic but kept it secret. That lie is particularly absurd. Did Trump think he would hide the fact that people were dropping dead of a novel virus? Do you know what Kamala was doing in January when she was briefed on the Chinese virus? She was voting to convict the president during the impeachment saga. And of course, all the Democrats flipped out when Trump banned travel from China to stop more infections from entering the United States. What did the Democrats do about the virus? Nothing, they disappeared.

The other lie that needs to be addressed is about “the scientists” and the coronavirus. Trump had many, many press conference with his team of scientists talking about the virus. The scientists repeatedly spoke out and gave updates but the media ignored them and asked President Trump foolish questions like “are you still shaking people’s hands?” Even St. Anthony Fauci has said the president did not hide anything from the public and that the same information that was discussed in the task force meetings was the same information presented to the public. But what we didn’t hear was what a Biden/Harris administration would do differently to manage the virus, in fact their “plan” sounds just like President Trump’s plan.

Another feature of the debate was Kamala’s attempt at being sassy. She kept saying “I’m speaking” to play the women card. It’s a debate, lady, it’s going to get heated. When it was all said and done, both participants had about the same amount of time.

Overall, I think it was a good debate. Will it make a difference? Probably not.
