For the eight time this month, the Biden campaign on Tuesday called “a lid” before noon, meaning the 77-year-old won’t be making any in-person campaign appearances for the rest of the day—42 days before the election.
The campaign’s announcement came at 9:22 a.m., according to Ed O’Keefe, the political correspondent for CBS News.

Jake Schneider, the Rapid Response deputy director of President Trump’s campaign team mocked Biden for hiding out “in his basement” for the day instead of campaigning.
A "lid" is called by a campaign to signal that the candidate is done making news for the day. Meaning Joe Biden is in his basement to stay for the day.

It’s no secret at this point that Biden’s cognitive abilities have become a major source of concern among Democrats.
Fox News contributor Dan Bongino revealed nearly two months ago, Biden’s mental state was deteriorating to the point that Democrats in his network were getting “seriously, genuinely concerned” that he was “not all there,” according to a solid Democrat source. “The problem is, it’s getting worse,” Bongino said. “There may be some degree of functionality left,” he added, but it’s disappearing at a geometrically expanding rapid rate.”
The Trump Campaign has not been shy about seizing on the issue and have put out numerous campaign videos calling attention to “Sleepy Joe’s declining mental acuity.
Trump’s latest campaign ad highlights Biden’s highly unusual reliance on teleprompters for media interviews, press conferences and town hall events.
