Morning Greatness: Document Release Shows Trump Campaign Briefing Was Cover for Surveillance Operation

Good Friday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president presents the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Jim Ryun
  • President Trump delivers remarks and signs executive orders on lowering drug prices

Coup members pretended to brief Trump but really surveilled for Russia hoax investigation during election

My, my, my. So it turns out that an “intelligence” briefing given to the Trump campaign in 2016 was really an op to get more information about the pretend RUSSIA collision investigation.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified the document, along with two others, on Thursday and sent them to Sens. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), who have been investigating the origins of the probe in addition to the Obama administration’s actions during the presidential transition period.

The documents are the latest in a series of disclosures by Ratcliffe to congressional Republicans seeking to support claims by Trump and his allies that the FBI investigation of Trump was politically motivated and corrupt.

They do support “by Trump and his allies that the FBI investigation of Trump was politically motivated and corrupt.”

Joe Pientka, the FBI agent who, coincidentally also interrogated Lt. General Mike Flynn, coordinated the “briefing” and “paid special attention to any mentions that Trump or Flynn made of Russia.”

“During the [intelligence] briefs, writer actively listened for topics or questions regarding the Russian Federation,” Pientka wrote.

At one point, after Trump’s briefers described Chinese and Russian intelligence officers operating in the United States, Trump interjected with a question: “Joe, are the Russians bad” Because they have more numbers are they worse than the Chinese?”

“Writer responded by saying both countries are bad,” Pientka wrote.

The newly released document was dated Aug. 30, 2016. The report was approved by Kevin Clinesmith, who you might remember as the shitbag who allegedly changed an email from the CIA that confirmed a relationship with Carter Page to deny the relationship. This “adjustment” made it easier to get a FISA snoop warrant on the campaign volunteer and the campaign.
