Oprah Winfrey and Lionsgate Producing Film and TV Adaptations of Racist 1619 Project

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey is teaming up with Lionsgate Productions to produce an adaptation of the New York Times’ radical, racist, and anti-American “1619 Project” into both a TV series and a film, according to Breitbart.

The project, a series of articles essentially claiming that America is a racist country and was built on slavery and oppression, was led by radical leftist Nikole Hannah-Jones, who won a Pulitzer for her work. Addressing the deal with Winfrey and Lionsgate, Jones called the radical project “the most important work of my life,” and said she couldn’t wait to “bring this work on slavery’s legacy to tv and film.”

Winfrey similarly took to Twitter for the announcement, claiming that she “stood in tearful applause” the first time she heard about the project, and that she would be “honored…to bring [Jones’s] transformative to a global audience.”

The 1619 project, which also teaches such racist ideas as “white privilege” and conspiracy theories as “systemic racism,” is already being taught in many public schools, even to students as young as kindergartners.
