Morning Greatness: Resistance Media Features ‘Anonymous Sources’ on RUSSIA

Good Tuesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president receives his intelligence briefing

Another anonymous source squeals to corporate media about RUSSIANS

Here we go again. Some anonymous sources leaked to the New York Times that the RUSSIANS have offered a bounty to Taliban fighters to kill U.S. troops, that Trump knew about the bounty and didn’t do anything because he’s a filthy monster who hates our military. Media jesters and Twitter celebrities freaked out but why? It’s not like the Times has a stellar record of accuracy from their “leakers.” No mind.

The White House said that the intelligence was unverified therefore Trump/Pence weren’t briefed so that’s a big lie from the Times. The Times can throw that on their big, fat pile of other lies. “There is no consensus within the intelligence community on these allegations and in fact there are dissenting opinions from some within the intelligence community with regards to the veracity of what’s being reported. The veracity of the underlying allegations continue to be evaluated,” said Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

The corporate media elites know darn well that the president is not briefed on every peep or rumor that our intelligence agencies gather.  As a result of this resistance scum leaker(s) and their partner in treason the NYT, the U.S. cannot continue its investigation into this alleged bounty offer.  So congrats, at least you got some anti-Trump air time on Twitter and cable news!

The Pentagon also backed up the White House statement. “To date, DOD has no corroborating evidence to validate the recent allegations found in open-source reports. Regardless, we always take the safety and security of our forces in Afghanistan—and around the world—most seriously and therefore continuously adopt measures to prevent harm from potential threats,” Jonathan Hoffman, the chief Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement.

John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence, confirmed last weekend Trump/Pence had not been briefed on the unverified intelligence. “I have confirmed that neither the President nor the Vice President were ever briefed on any intelligence alleged by the New York Times in its reporting yesterday,” Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said in a statement released just before midnight on Saturday. “The White House statement addressing this issue earlier today, which denied such a briefing occurred, was accurate. The New York Times reporting, and all other subsequent news reports about such an alleged briefing are inaccurate.”

This story is still in the headlines. And not because the corporate media care about the troops and are worried their lives are in great danger because if they did, why would they release this information to the public, compromising the investigation?

But we’re not done here, no sir! The show must go on. The AP reported last night, “Top officials in the White House were aware in early 2019 of classified intelligence indicating Russia was secretly offering bounties to the Taliban for the deaths of Americans, a full year earlier than has been previously reported, according to U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the intelligence.” Some of their anonymous sources claim ego-maniacal John Bolton briefed Trump on the intelligence. “Bolton declined to comment Monday when asked by the AP if he had briefed Trump about the matter in 2019. ”

Let’s move over to the latest gossip from the NYT, which is reporting, “American officials provided a written briefing in late February to President Trump laying out their conclusion that a Russian military intelligence unit offered and paid bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. and coalition troops in Afghanistan, two officials familiar with the matter said.” The NYT further maintains “One of the officials said the item appeared in Mr. Trump’s brief in late February; the other cited Feb. 27, specifically.”

Ratcliffe responded to the most recent reporting, “We are still investigating the alleged intelligence referenced in recent media reporting, and we will brief the president and congressional leaders at the appropriate time,” he said. “This is the analytic process working the way it should. Unfortunately, unauthorized disclosures now jeopardize our ability to ever find out the full story with respect to these allegations.”

Who are these leakers? This is dangerous business and the culprits must be found and prosecuted.
