Morning Greatness: Democrats Want Campaign Issue for November, Block Sen. Tim Scott’s Reform Bill

Good Thursday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The President and First Lady participate in a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Korean War Veterans Memorial
  • The president participates in a Town Hall with Sean Hannity, FOX News in Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • President participates in a tour of Fincantieri Marinette Marine

Senate Democrats squash Senator Scott’s JUSTICE Act

None of the race warriors on the front lines of this police reform PR campaign really wants to fix anything. First of all, the police are controlled by your local elected officials. If you don’t like how your police are treating the residents of your city, take it up with the mayor and the city council because they control your police. Voters have much more influence over their mayors and council members than they have over federal officials. Nothing is stopping the Democrat-run cities that have turned into war zones from forcing change upon the police. How do I know this? Because the mayors in these cities have told the cops to stand down and let violent animals destroy whatever they want without fear of arrest that’s how. If you really wanted change, you would go to your local officials and demand they make changes or face ejection from office during the next election. Instead, the same characters (all Democrats, many African Americans, many marching in the streets down with the cause) are repeatedly elected to office. Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Minneapolis: all controlled by Democrats and controlled by Democrats FOR YEARS. They have done nothing.

Along those lines, the Senate Democrats prevented Republican Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) from even bringing his bill for police reform to the floor. The Democrats complain they didn’t get “enough” of what they wanted. Too bad.  No one gets everything they want, that’s the balancing nature of our system. Instead, the Democrats want power, they want the issue to run on in November so they aren’t going to allow any victories or successes. That comes at your expense. If you as a concerned citizen who really wants change, should find this unacceptable just like you should find it unacceptable that your local officials have failed you.

“All we needed to complement the president’s executive order,” Scott told Fox News, “was the Democrats to show and be counted. Just a few Democrats, not 46. Just seven Democrats and we couldn’t get seven people to come to the table.

“They’re not serious about police reform,” Scott added. “Instead, what they’re serious about using police reform as a campaign issue this November. That is despicable.”

Flynn finally has a good day

On Wednesday, a three judge panel on the D.C. Court of Appeals ordered crank Judge Emmet Sullivan to allow the DoJ to dismiss their case against former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn. I don’t know WTF the judge was thinking, that he could force federal prosecutors to prosecute a case they decided was too problematic to be successful. Really, what is going on here?

Now we wait for Sullivan to comply with the court’s order or he could really pull an a$$hole move and demand the case be heard before the entire court (en banc) in which case Flynn will continue to get dragged by the system. I think the chances are at least 50/50 that he moves to have the entire court hear the appeal.

Peter Strzok notes released

Some of Peter Strzok’s notes were released to the public on Wednesday, the notes were written between January 3-5 of 2017. John Solomon explains,

The Justice Department says the notes were written between Jan. 3-5, 2017, the very weekend the FBI agent who had investigated Flynn’s ties to Russia for five months recommended the case be closed because there was “no derogatory” evidence that he committed a crime or posed a counterintelligence threat. FBI supervisors overruled the agent’s recommendation.

Strzok’s notes appear to quote then-FBI Director James Comey as suggesting that Flynn’s intercepted calls with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak “appear legit,” bolstering other recently disclosed evidence showing the bureau saw nothing wrong with Flynn’s behavior.

One very interesting item in the notes is that Joe Biden brings up the “Logan Act” charge. The Logan Act prohibits private citizens from representing the United States for issues of international diplomacy. Flynn was the incoming National Security Adviser so that seems totally ridiculous, but that’s the caliber of bureaucrat that populates the fedgov, the kind that take the Logan Act seriously. Also of note is Obama’s directive that the FBI assign “the right people” to look into whatever crap they thought they could use against Flynn and Trump.

“Mr. Obama himself directed that ‘the right people’ investigate General Flynn. This caused former FBI Director Comey to acknowledge the obvious: General Flynn’s phone calls with Ambassador Kislyak ‘appear legit,’” Flynn lawyer Sidney Powell argued in her new motion.

“According to Strzok’s notes, it appears that Vice President Biden personally raised the idea of the Logan Act. That became an admitted pretext to investigate General Flynn,” she added.

Biden, who is currently hiding in his basement bunker, has denied knowing anything about the RUSSIA collusion hoax. “I was aware that … they asked for an investigation,” Biden said. “But that’s all I know about it, and I don’t think anything else.”

Finally: Seattle residents sue over CHOP/CHAZ

The violent Marxist utopia of CHOP/CHAZ in the sh!thole of Seattle have had enough of the LARPing, warlords and murder and filed suit against the city claiming their constitutional rights are being violated. Well congratulations.

The class-action suit claims the group have had their rights “overrun by the city of Seattle’s unprecedented decision to abandon and close off an entire city neighborhood.”

The so-called Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, which sprouted up on June 8, has been “unchecked by police, unserved by fire and emergency health services, and inaccessible to the public at large,” the lawsuit said.

While the plaintiffs would like to restore normalcy to the area, they stressed in the suit that the legal action was not meant to undermine the protest’s anti-police brutality and Black Lives Matter messaging.

Ugh, they just had to include that “the legal action was not meant to undermine the protest’s anti-police brutality and Black Lives Matter messaging.” Um, morons, this isn’t about racism, haven’t you figured that out yet? “One of the businesses included the suit — auto shop Car Tender — said a protester broke into his shop on June 14, started a fire and attacked his son with a knife”? Just a bunch of hoodlums.
