Morning Greatness: Cops ‘Intentionally Poisoned’ by NYC Shake Shack

Good Tuesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president delivers remarks and signs an Executive Order on Safe Policing for Safe Communities
  • President Trump receives his intelligence briefing

Police Officers poisoned at NYC Shake Shack

Gee, I wonder if this is the product of a nasty PR campaign against the police force?

Three police officers were “intentionally poisoned by one or more workers” when they drank milkshakes from Shake Shack in New York City. They are currently hospitalized.

“Police in New York City and across the country are under attack by vicious criminals who dislike us simply because of the uniform we wear. Emboldened by pandering elected officials, these cowards will go to great lengths to harm any member of law enforcement,” Paul DiGiacomo, the president of the Detective Endowment Association Board of Directors said.

The incident is under investigation. “At this time, the incident is part of an active and ongoing investigation to determine if this was accidental or intentional in nature,” the NYPD statement said.

The purpose of this protest “operation” is not merely to combat disparate treatment of African Americans, it’s to weaken and destroy law and order. The progressive movement and its zealots don’t like the principle of law since law dictates all people be considered equally. They want some people to be exempt from the law, namely those advancing their cause. This is most obvious when rioters, looters and other criminals are not charged for their terrorism at these “protests” or when cities like NYC abolish bail and allow bad actors go free never to return for a hearing or when cities chose not to prosecute or investigate certain crimes that don’t meet a monetary threshold. The plan is to weaken stability and order so they can come in with their fists. Just wait, it’s going to get worse.

Breaking early this morning:

Yeah, that was fast. I don’t think I believe this. Were other people sickened or just the cops? Developing.

Trump readies executive order on police reform

President Trump will sign an executive order that “will create a system for tracking police misconduct, incentivize officer training and send social workers on some nonviolent police calls.”

Incentives for training officers would require that police departments meet certification standards to get federal funds. Those certifications would teach de-escalation techniques and ban chokeholds except in situations where deadly force is allowed, a second official said.

One of the reforms includes using social workers to help deal with issues in the homeless population. I’m not sure how this helps excessive police force, but that’s just me. Currently the Democrat’s have released their own legislation for police reform and Republican Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) is working on legislation for the Senate Republicans. Unfortunately, if the police are poisoned and assaulted with out consequence, there won’t be any need for reforms because no one will want to join the police.
