Democrats Hypocritically Worry About Coronavirus Fears from Trump Rallies

As President Trump prepares to relaunch his iconic campaign rallies for the coming November election, Democrats and the media who were previously supportive of the mass riots over the last few weeks have flip-flopped and are criticizing the president, as reported by Fox News.

Several prominent Democrats went from supporting the Black Lives Matter riots to criticizing President Trump’s planned rallies, including Congresswoman Val Demings (D-Fla.), who is allegedly a top contender to be Joe Biden’s running mate in November. On Monday, Demings participated in a large “Healing and Hope” rally supportive of the Black Lives Matter movement. But on Thursday, she released a statement labeling the president “irresponsible and selfish” for wanting to resume his rallies.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the runner-up for the Democratic nomination, previously expressed his “congratulations” to “all who are out on the streets today peacefully protesting.” But also on Thursday, Sanders criticized the president’s apparent dismissal of “social distancing,” and falsely called the president “a threat to the health and well-being of the country.”

The taxpayer-funded media outlet NPR recently posted an article with the headline “Trump to restart political rallies this month despite coronavirus pandemic,” even though the outlet had failed to use similarly critical language in its coverage of the protests.

Perhaps the most infamous example comes from a mass letter signed by over 1,200 alleged “medical professionals” released last week, in which the so-called “experts” declared their support for the Black Lives Matter riots, which they claimed to be “vital to the national public health.” In the very same paragraph, the letter then denounced anti-lockdown protests and other conservative gatherings as “rooted in white nationalism,” and further claimed that “white supremacy is a lethal public health issue that predates and contributes to COVID-19.”
