Trump Suggests He and Obama Know Something About ‘Sleepy Joe’ That the Media Doesn’t Know

President Trump suggested Wednesday that he knows something about his opponent Joe Biden that the media doesn’t know, and it explains why former president Barack Obama has not yet endorsed him for president.

Trump made the intriguing comments during the daily coronavirus task force briefing after a reporter from Taiwan asked him about 2020 race.

“I don’t know why President Obama hasn’t supported Joe Biden a long time ago,” Trump said.  “There’s something he feels is wrong,” he added mysteriously. “He’ll come out, I’m sure he’s gotta come out at some point ’cause he certainly doesn’t want to see me for four more years. We’re not—ah—we think a little bit differently,” the president joked.

“It does amaze me that President Obama hasn’t supported—Sleepy Joe. It just hasn’t happened! When’s it going to happen?” Trump asked emphatically. “Why isn’t he?!”

The president proceeded to answer his own question. “He knows something that you don’t know,” he explained, pointing to the White House reporters in attendance.  “I think I know, but you don’t know.”

Trump didn’t offer any more details about why he thinks Obama hasn’t endorsed Biden, but said “it will be interesting.”

Earlier Wednesday, Senator Bernie Sanders announced the suspension of his campaign but said that he would remain on the ballot in upcoming states and continue to collect delegates in order to “exert significant influence” at the party’s convention.

“He didn’t really drop out,” Trump remarked.

“That’s not dropping out, when you keep your delegates and then you want more delegates before you get to the convention, that’s a weird deal going on there,” Trump said.
