An analysis of travel records from various government agencies has revealed that 3.4 million people came into the United States during the first few months of the initial coronavirus outbreak, as reported by Breitbart.
The information comes from a compilation of information from the Department of Commerce and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which found that of the 3.4 million who entered the U.S during the months of December, January, and February, nearly 760,000 of them came from China. Of that amount, 228,000 were American citizens returning from trips to China, while the remaining 532,000 were Chinese nationals visiting for either business, tourism, or family visits.
During that same period, approximately 343,400 came into the country from Italy, 414,900 came from Spain, and nearly 2 million came from the United Kingdom. President Trump declared a travel ban on China on February 2nd, followed by a travel ban on Iran on March 2nd. He later implemented a travel ban on all of Europe, except for the United Kingdom, on March 13th; the following day, he extended the travel ban to the United Kingdom.
