Morning Greatness: GOP Political Parasites Bail Out of Stock Market Before Chinese Virus Crash

Good Friday morning.

Here’s what is on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president has lunch with the Secretary of State
  • President Trump participates in a phone call with small business owners on COVID-19 response
  • 11:45AM Members of the Coronavirus Task Force hold a press briefing

My latest podcast episode with Julie Kelly, “Happy Hour with Julie & Liz,” is now available. Go listen!

Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler dumps stock before CHINESE VIRUS crash

My, my, my. Fox News reports “Sens. Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler sold millions in stock before the coronavirus outbreak sent the markets in freefall.”

Isn’t that interesting? Burr is chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee in case you didn’t know and big fat derp state bitch. Loeffler and Burr are both on the Senate Health Committee.

ProPublica alleged Burr “sold off a significant percentage of his stocks, unloading between $582,029 and $1.56 million of his holdings on Feb. 13 in 29 separate transactions” in filings listed in the U.S. Senate Financial Disclosures website as he was regularly being briefed on the rising threat of the virus.

“Senator Burr filed a financial disclosure form for personal transactions made several weeks before the U.S. and financial markets showed signs of volatility due to the growing coronavirus outbreak,” a Burr spokesperson told Fox News. “As the situation continues to evolve daily, he has been deeply concerned by the steep and sudden toll this pandemic is taking on our economy. He supported Congress’ immediate efforts to provide $7.8 billion for response efforts and this week’s bipartisan bill to provide relief for American business and small families.”

According to the Daily Beast, “Loeffler sold stock owned by her and her husband Jan. 24, the same day she sat in on a closed-door Trump administration coronavirus briefing as a member of the Senate Health Committee. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, also attended.”

And check out this coincidence: “27 out of 29 transactions in February by the Georgia senator and her husband were sales. One stock purchase was in a company called Citrix, a teleworking software company, and was worth between $100,000 and $250,000. The company’s stock, as The Daily Beast noted, has seen a bump since the virus outbreak grew.” And, “The report also claims Loeffler and her husband sold jointly owned stock worth between $1,275,000 and $3,100,000 during the Jan. 24-Feb. 14 timespan, according to filed transactions.”

Guess who Loeffler’s husband is? Jeffrey Sprecher, chairman of the New York Stock Exchange. I CAN’T EVEN with this crap.

Did any Democrats do the same? I don’t know but it doesn’t change the fact that both of these punks need to GTFO of elected office yesterday.

The media pathogen

I thought it would be fun to keep track of the media’s “unbiased” reporting of important information as our country grinds to a halt in an effort to battle the CHINESE VIRUS. Just to make clear how utterly despicable and subversive the media is, check out this thread documenting how the H1N1 plague was covered under President Obama back in 2009.
