Biden Campaign Uses Coronavirus For Fundraising Email

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign released an email soliciting donations while talking about the spread of the coronavirus, as Fox News reports.

Former advisor to President George W. Bush Karl Rove read some excerpts of the email on Sean Hannity’s primetime show Thursday night, calling it “crass.” The email consisted of the full transcript of Biden’s press conference about the coronavirus, with a “Donate to Joe Biden” button at the bottom. The email ended with “if you are ready to fight for the soul of the nation, you can start by donating to elect Joe Biden.”

“Does he have no shame?” Rove asked after reading the excerpts. “Is there no decency that says, you know what, there are some moments when we shouldn’t be taking things and use them for crass political purposes.”

Rove also revealed that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had released a similar fundraising email falsely claiming that Republicans were “stalling” one of the Democrats’ proposed coronavirus bills, even though the text of the bill had only been released several hours before the email was sent.
