Actor Dick Van Dyke, rap group Public Enemy, and actress-comedian Sarah Silverman are set to headline a rally in Los Angeles for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VM) presidential campaign on Sunday, Breitbart reports.
The rally is scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center prior to California’s presidential primary next week as part of the all-important “Super Tuesday.”
“Join Bernie Sanders, Sarah Silverman, and Dick Van Dyke, with a special performance by Public Enemy Radio. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and the event starts at 5:00 p.m,” the event’s description reads.

The three performers join the long list of celebrities backing Sanders, who is now the frontrunner for the nomination to face off against President Donald Trump in November. Sanders is also the far and away favorite to win California’s primary, polling an average of 28.3 percent, with Elizabeth Warren trailing in second at 15.3 percent.
However polls have shown Sanders lagging among older voters, particularly those over the age of 65.
Van Dyke, 94, backed Sanders in 2016, and said he was endorsing him again because of his consistency in his policies over the years.
“Bernie has been consistent with his policies ever since I first met him when he was in the Senate. He never has changed his attack because of pressure from the outside or when he felt the wind was blowing another way,” he said. “He stuck to who he is and what he believes in. So I think somebody younger, like Bernie, is just a perfect candidate.”
Sarah Silverman, is a vehement Trump critic who has previously compared Trump to Hitler. Her Hulu series attacked Trump, Republicans, and conservatives and she has said the Christian religion is a “shroud” to cover “hang-ups” and the administration’s recent moves to protect religious freedom were only meant to hurt gay people and women.
Public Enemy member Chuck D has described the president as “out of his mind,” and Trump and his supporters are simply wrong when it comes to understanding the meaning and purpose of Black Lives Matter.
