Democrats South Carolina debate turns vicious, chaotic
Good grief, the Democrats’ debate in South Carolina was nasty, nasty, nasty. There wasn’t much substance as the candidates yelled over each other, trying to drop pre-fab “zingers” on one another with the occasional Trump smear thrown into the mix. As of today, Biden is leading Sanders by about 4 or 5 points in S.C. so I think Bernie could still overtake Biden in the Saturday primary. There was no one performance that stood out last night at the debate that would give one of the candidates the momentum to displace Sanders as the national front runner so I think he will continue to lead. If Biden scrapes out a win, the media will work very hard to shift the narrative to a Biden surge. I’m skeptical.
Overall, the debate was yelling, pandering, bad zingers and more yelling.
