The DC Comics film “Birds of Prey” has changed its title in subsequent promotional materials as a result of its failure at the box office, as Breitbart reports.
The comic book movie, a sequel to 2016’s “Suicide Squad,” features an all-female cast and thus includes numerous heavily feminist and far-left messages, including the villifying of virtually all men and the suggestion that the main character voted for Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.).
As the film stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, the title of the film has now been changed to “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.” This is based on the producers’ assumption that making the focus about Robbie’s character might boost its popularity, even though the character is not that popular in her own right.
Both “Birds of Prey” and “Suicide Squad” received poor reviews. “Birds of Prey” was produced on a budget of roughly $100 million, and has only earned about $83 million at the box office, representing one of the worst box office bombs for a DC Comics film.
