Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made a complete spectacle of herself Tuesday night, grimacing with disgust and muttering to herself as the president delivered his State of the Union Address.
And in a bitterly divisive move after Trump completed the address, Pelosi petulantly tore up a print-out of the speech.
The president and his nemesis got off to an awkward start when he either refused to shaker her hand, or didn’t notice that she had extended her hand. At any rate, the spurned speaker withdrew her hand and awkwardly shrugged it off.

Throughout the speech, Pelosi looked at times, bored, confused, and angry. She mumbled constantly to herself and shuffled the speech papers in front of her, which she glanced at from time to time.

When President Trump awarded conservative talk show legend Rush Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom, Pelosi, as you can see in the video below, refused to stand up. Limbaugh, it should be noted, announced that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer on Monday.

Rush was honored & given multiple standing O’s.

Most disgracefully of all, however, Pelosi—perhaps in a bid to upstage the president’s masterful SOTU speech—ostentatiously tore the speech printout up after Trump finished delivering it.

– Honored parents whose daughter was killed by terrorists
– Honored mother who lost military spouse

Trump’s speech was a conservative marvel that couldn’t have been delivered by any establishment Republican.
In addition to ticking off an incredible list of achievements, the president recognized 15 special individuals in his speech Tuesday night, including a talented African American girl stuck in a failing school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Trump announced during the SOTU that a scholarship had been secured to send the 4th grader to the school of her choice.
He also recognized 100-year-old retired black Brigadier General Charles McGee, who is a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He gave a nod to McGee’s great grandson, Iain Lanphier, an eighth grader who was the top graduate of the Aerospace Career Education program, last summer.
Trump introduced the parents of Kayla Mueller, the humanitarian aid worker who was kidnapped by ISIS on her way back from a Doctors without Borders hospital in Aleppo, Syria. Kayla was held captive and tortured by the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, before being murdered. President Trump ordered a successful U.S. Special Forces raid that killed al-Baghdadi on October 26, 2019.
To highlight the reckless danger of sanctuary city policies, he president introduced the brother of a young man who was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant in Tulare County, California.
The criminal alien who committed this brutal murder had previously been arrested for violent crimes and had twice been deported. The criminal alien was arrested in December 2018 for the sixth time, but because of California’s sanctuary state policy, he was released from jail. A few days later, he went on a 24-hour “reign of terror,” injuring several people, robbing a gas station, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase, and killing 51-year old Rocky, who was known as a kind and gentle soul. Rocky leaves behind a precious daughter and 4 brothers.
And in a particularly touching moment, the president reunited a soldier returning from Afghanistan to his and two young children.
On December 17, 2018, Jody’s brother, Rocky Jones, was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant in Tulare County, California. The criminal alien who committed this brutal murder had previously been arrested for violent crimes and had twice been deported.
Eric Trump told Fox news host Laura Ingraham Tuesday night that “my father won reelection tonight.”
And that is why Pelosi went into meltdown mode. She knows it.
