A coalition of left-wing non-profit groups are sponsoring a mass, nationwide temper-tantrum on Wednesday to protest President Trump’s likely acquittal in the U.S. Senate of Impeachment charges.
The Democrat-Marxists have settled on a “cover-up” narrative, arguing that the Senate is “covering-up” Trump’s crimes (rather than being unpersuaded that he committed any) by not voting to impeach him.
“Trump and the Senators and members of Congress who voted to cover up his crimes will be held accountable by their constituents,” the Reject the Cover-up website declares.
The organizers of the coordinated PR effort are calling on “hundreds of thousands of Americans” to “mobilize” and demand accountability, Democracy, and reform.
“A core principle shared by supporting organizations is a commitment to nonviolent, peaceful actions,” the website states. “All actions that are sponsored or organized on this page are intended to be nonviolent and peaceful. We expect all participants to act lawfully at all times and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.”
The following non-profit groups are listed on the “Reject the Cover-up site as “partners” supporting the effort.
According to Influence Watch, By the People works with other left-wing groups to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
In September of 2019, By the People, partnered with Indivisible, Stand Up America, MoveOn, CREDO Action, Services Employees International Union (SEIU), Mainers for Accountable Leadership, Women’s March, the Daily Kos, Public Citizen, Need to Impeach, Progressive Democrats of America, DemCast, FreeSpeechPeople.org, and People for the American Way to launch a new website called impeachnow.org.
The website acts as a central hub for left-of-center organizations to coordinate efforts to impeach and remove President Donald Trump. In September of 2019, By the People, and 12 other groups requested that the U.S. House of Representatives delay recess for two weeks in October to “immediately get to work impeaching the lawless president.”
Now that the president has been impeached, the same group appears to have reorganized under a new name—Reject the Cover-up—to continue the pressure campaign against Trump.
By the People is a project of the lobbying group Americans for All Of Us Action, which has been funded by Moveon.org, according to Influence Watch.
MoveOn, in turn, receives funding from a vast array of left-wing donors, including George Soros.
Separately, Refuse Fascism, a Washington D.C. area antifa group is organizing protests for Tuesday and Wednesday in the nation’s capitol.
It’s time you – and all the people like you who hate this but are standing aside – come into the streets over the next three days to demand that Trump and Pence be removed NOW! On Monday, senators will make final arguments on the case. Tuesday night, Trump gives his State of the Union speech, in which he will almost certainly take the offensive against those who impeached him. Then on Wednesday, the Senate will vote. At this time, fascist victory in the Senate seems all but certain.
Like “Reject the Cover-up”, Refuse Fascism is calling for a “nonviolent” protest to overthrow President Trump’s reign of “terror .” However, the radicals do appear ready to go to war against Trump-supporting “fascists.”
Lamar Alexander’s warning that Trump’s removal would “rip the country apart,” in conjunction with the convergence of 22,000 armed “gun-rights” protesters on the Virginia capitol on MLK Day, and 100,000 attending a march to end abortion that was presided over by Trump himself, raises the spectre of Trump’s fascist base which is energized and determined to bring about their vision for the future, even through the threat of violence and civil war.
They have brazenly told us that the normal channels, including the process of impeachment, cannot rein in a president and regime that is slashing through those norms and emerging victorious from every crisis. They have validated Trump to steal the next election. Without a third force, the people in the streets in sustained, non-violent mass protest, a fascist regime will barrel ahead to rule with even more brute force and terror.
It remains to be seen how large these protests will get, but there is no doubt that the corporate media will give them massive amounts of coverage. So get ready to see plenty of mobs of unhinged, Trump-deranged lefties acting out in the streets later this week.
