Morning Greatness: Senate Waits for Nancy to Send in the Clowns

Good Tuesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president receives his intelligence briefing
  • President Trump delivers remarks at a Keep America Great Rally in Milwaukee, WI

Impeachment Follies: Waiting for Nancy

While we wait for that dried up hag to send over the Democrats’ articles of impeachment to the Senate, the GOP’s weakest element is “negotiating” and agitating to call witnesses at the impeachment trial. John Bolton said he was willing to testify if subpoenaed but Bolton doesn’t get to make this call, it’s the president who has a claim on executive privilege and it’s pretty clear that Trump has privilege regarding his National Security Advisor. Sorry.

“Obviously I would not be advocating for language to be included in the governing resolution if I did not anticipate at the end of hearing the case presented, and the q-and-a, that there might be a need for more information,” said Senator Susan Collins who is working with a small group of weaklings to try to find a path forward on the issue.

Well, Susan, if you need more information that’s the fault of the House prosecutors. It’s their job to put the case together, it’s not the jury’s (the Senate’s) job to help them do that. Since the House didn’t bother to take the steps necessary to get the testimony they wanted, you are struck with the mess they made for you.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is having none of this showboating.

“My colleagues can’t have it both ways. Calling for some, while blocking others,” Paul tweeted. “If we are going to give a platform to witnesses the Dems demand, I look forward to forcing votes to call Hunter Biden and many more!” Paul continued.

U.S. Anti-Trump forces continue attacking Trump on Iran

The march to discredit Trump over the killing of an Iranian terror mastermind continues forward. CNN wants you to know that:

State Department officials involved in US embassy security were not made aware of imminent threats to four specific US embassies, two State Department officials tell CNN, further undermining President Donald Trump’s claims that the top Iranian general he ordered killed earlier this month posed an imminent threat to the diplomatic outposts.

But wait…

The State Department sent a global warning to all US embassies before the strike occurred, a senior State Department official said and the department spokesperson confirmed, but it was not directed at specific embassies and did not warn of an imminent attack.

First of all, everyone knows that intelligence doesn’t come in a neat little package. None of these terrorists are texting each other with instructions like “The attack will be at 7:30am, January 12th at the embassy, bring your RPGs! Death to America!” That is simply not how it works so making such an absurd level of specificity the burden of proof for the Trump Administration, is ridiculous. The purpose is drag Trump and create distrust and suspicion about his decision to kill Solemaini because that’s what the Democrats and the media do.

Now the State Department, if you haven’t figured it out, is a den of filthy vipers and we’d be smart to burn it down and start from scratch. Do I trust anything coming from “a senior State Department official?” No, and you shouldn’t either. Why are the media and the institutional left so SHOOK by Trump wiping out this terrorist? They have to protect Obama’s legacy and their own, they shilled for the awful JCPOA and promised Iran would not use all the money we gave them for terrorism and nukes.

CNN also wants you to know that:

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General William Barr said Monday that killing Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani was part of a larger strategy of deterrence, a shift from the Trump administration’s previous rationale that the strike was carried out to prevent an “imminent” attack.

Only an idiot would think, after watching Iran step up their terror game over the last several months, that Solemaini wasn’t going to continue to strike U.S. interests. It’s just ridiculous to fight in favor of this man’s ability to continue his terror campaign, and yet that is what we are seeing. He attacked a U.S. embassy which is an act of war, if he wasn’t deterred, what would his next step be? The Anti-Trump deranged media/Democrats don’t care as long as they can land a punch on Trump.

Meanwhile, the media is not concerned with the growing protests against the Iranian regime by its citizens. Where are shows of public support from Democrat elected officials supporting Iranians’ desire for freedom? Crickets.
