McDonald’s Coffee Cup with Anti-Police Message Given to Police Officer in Kansas

A police officer ordering coffee at a McDonald’s in Kansas found a vulgar anti-police message written on the cup, according to Fox News.

The incident occurred at a McDonald’s in Junction City, Kansas. When the officer stopped in on his way to work to order the coffee, he found the words “f***ing pig” written on the side of the cup.

A photo of the cup and its message was then shared on Facebook by the police chief of Herington, Kansas, Brian Hornaday. He said in the post that when the vulgar writing was brought to McDonald’s attention, the company offered the officer in question “a free lunch.” Hornaday said that such an offer “doesn’t make up for it,” and that “the US veteran who continues to serve deserves much more.”

A statement on the matter was also released by the Geary County Sheriff’s Department, saying that they were “saddened by seeing this incident in our community,” and promised that, “as a show of faith in our community, the Sheriff and some of his command staff will be visiting to have a cup of coffee Monday morning.”
