Morning Greatness: DoJIG Decimates Steele and His Garbage Dossier

Good Tuesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation
  • President Trump delivers remarks at a Keep America Great Rally in Hershey, PA

The Horowitz report is released: Holy Guacamole

I am so jaded and cynical that I did not have high hopes for this report. Boy was I wrong, this report is brutal and devastating. First, as I predicted, the media took a fake victory lap for their Trump-hating audience. The spin on the report is that Horowitz found no political bias, no anti-Trump plot with creating the fairy tale Trump-RUSSIA investigation. The report literally says in its opening, “Our role in this review was not to second-guess discretionary judgments by Department personnel about whether to open an investigation.” So not really a win, is it?

However, there is no way you can look at the blunders and “errors” evidenced in this report and believe it was not a political hit job. The FISA process was so abused, so grotesquely justified and then misrepresented to the courts that there is no other conclusion one can come to other than the clowns in the FBI did this for reasons far different than a national security interest.

Steele and the contents of his trashy dossier was utterly obliterated by Horowitz, the FBI did not try and verify any the dossier’s sketchy claims, the FBI needed the dossier to get the FISA, the FBI withheld evidence from the FISA court that Steele was unreliable, exculpatory evidence continued to surface but was withheld and why would they do this? Why would they go forward on such shaky grounds and with unverified evidence? Horowitz wants us to believe the motivation to do so was not anti-Trump, political animus. I call bullsh!t.

AG Barr came out to throat punch Horowitz’ gentle evaluation. He described this process as an “intrusive” investigation of President Trump’s campaign “on the thinnest of suspicions.”

“It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trump’s administration,” Barr said.

The attorney general also said that FBI officials “misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source” in a “rush” to maintain surveillance warrants on members of the Trump campaign.

U.S. Attorney John Durham also made an unusual public statement about Horowitz’ report. “Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,” Durham said in a statement. Remember, Horowitz investigation was limited to the FBI and current FBI employees while Durham has a much larger mandate and actual power to force/subpoena cooperation. “However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S.,” said Durham.

If you want to read some trustworthy summaries of the report here’s one from Epoch Times by Jeff Carlson and here’s one from Chuck Ross at the Daily Caller.

Impeachment follies update

Yesterday, there was another impeachment-related hearing. It lasted for one million hours and was scheduled to provide the media with something to squeak about so they could ignore the incriminating Horowitz report. The Democrats had the impeachment committees’ counsels appear and testify about impeachment. Thankfully, this Vaudeville act is over and now Nadler and his booster seat will draft articles of impeachment. ABC News says there will be two articles against Trump revealed at a 9amET press conference Tuesday morning. Reportedly “they are expected to focus on obstruction and abuse of power.” The Judiciary Committee is “expected to publicly take up the articles for debate and approval as soon as Thursday, though the panel has not yet sent notice of a meeting.” What a lovely holiday season we are having, ho ho ho.

Afghanistan Papers from the Washington Post

It’s Pulitzer season. The Washington Post released an incredible report about how the government, and by government I mean the Bush and Obama Administrations, lied to the public about our “progress” in Afghanistan. It’s worth a read. I want to point out that the same people wagging their finger about this report also had a stroke when Trump said he wanted to get out of Afghanistan and then celebrated the courageous “Maddog” Mattis, AKA General Theranos, when he flounced out of the administration over Trump’s Afghanistan policy.

It’s too bad there’s so much news right now because this story is incredible and it’s not getting the attention it deserves. I do wonder why our friends in the INTERAGENCY CONSENSUS didn’t go whistleblow as this sham was taking place, eh?
