Dan Bongino Launches Alternative to the Drudge Report

Conservative podcaster, author, and Fox News contributor Dan Bongino has launched his own news aggregation website to act as an alternative to the Drudge Report, according to The Hill.

The name of the new website is The Bongino Report, and it features an aggregate of stories from various news sources which are categorized by certain topics and issues, including “Election 2020,” “Culture War,” and “Immigration.” Bongino made the announcement on Twitter, telling his followers that “Drudge has abandoned you. I NEVER will.”

Bongino’s announcement was celebrated and promoted by several prominent conservative voices, including radio host Mark Levin, commentator Raheem Kassam, and Congressman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).

The Drudge Report has come under fire in recent months for shifting to a much more anti-Trump tone, featuring overwhelmingly negative headlines about President Trump and conservatives in general. There has been widespread speculation about what caused the sudden change in Drudge’s content, and with multiple possible motives including a desire for more web traffic or mysterious new donors with an anti-Trump bias.
