ImpeachmentTV: Season 2, episode 1- The House Judiciary Caper
Previously, on ImpeachmentTV, the Intelligence Committee Democrats held a parade of hearsay witnesses, followed by the media dutifully reporting “BOMBSHELLS.” The Intelligence Committee partisans produced a report comprised of the witnesses’ fairy tales and voted to adopt the impeachment report and send it to the Judiciary Committee.
One of the most notable parts of this report is that the Democrats obtained some phone records. The records “detailed previously unreported contacts between President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, the White House, top House Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, and Hill columnist John Solomon.”
This was always one of the main purposes of the impeachment sham. Pelosi was smart to avoid putting her members on the record voting to open an impeachment inquiry but she needed to open the inquiry in order to obtain certain powers and pretense to get more dirt to smear Trump and his advocates. Some people “in the know” think the Democrats won’t actually vote on impeachment because it’s very risky politically: Pelosi will put her members in Trump districts on the record and once the articles of impeachment head to the Senate, the Democrats will lose control of the information stream. But if the purpose was to be able to do things like fill the news cycle with negative Trump news, feature accusations of derp state resistance freaks to hurt the president’s reelection efforts and subpoena phone records for more negative news fodder, well…mission accomplished. Will the rabid deranged orange man crowd be satisfied with a simple censure? I doubt it.
Finding a flimsy, laughable pretense to use the most powerful government tools against your adversaries is the modus operandi of the Trump resistance. I point you toward the ridiculous reasons for obtaining a four FISA warrants on Carter Page and probably Flynn, Manafort and PapaD. It’s like deja vu all over again. Or appointing a special counsel with all sorts of government powers to try and suss out some crime to “get Trump.” These folks have no principles. The ends justify the means as long as the targets are the right ones.
Today, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and his booster seat will hold hearings with partisan “lawyers” spewing their thoughts on why the HPSCI report details high crimes and misdemeanors. Nadler leaked to Politico that he said in a closed door hearing, “I’m not going to take any shit.” He’s a real tough guy, 5’4″ of impeachment fury.
There’s more to come. “The outcome of Wednesday’s hearing is likely to set the tone for the final phase of impeachment — at least three hearings, including a possible session next week at which lawmakers are expected to approve articles of impeachment.” Terrific. Merry Christmas, who is paying attention to this?

Rep. Devin Nunes Sues CNN
Good for him. It’s time to set some legal precedents for what the media can present as “news.” Nunes suit accuses the tabloid cable channel of running a “demonstrably false hit piece.”
The 47-page lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, accuses the liberal network of publishing “numerous egregiously false and defamatory” statements about Nunes on Nov. 22, 2019 when journalist Vicky Ward reported claims that Nunes met with Ukranian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in Vienna in 2018 to dig “up dirt” on Hunter and Joe Biden.
Ah yes, the Cohen maneuver. Nunes said he “did not go to Vienna or anywhere else in Austria in 2018” and “has never met” Shokin. “CNN is the mother of fake news. It is the least trusted name. CNN is eroding the fabric of America, proselytizing, sowing distrust and disharmony. It must be held accountable,” the lawsuit, obtained by Fox News, states.
Nunes is seeking $435,350,000 in compensatory and punitive damages. The garbage tabloid claimed that the attorney for Lev Parnas — Parnas is the shifty Ukrainian Giuliani associate who was just indicted multiple federal crimes– said his client would testify about Nunes’ travel. A trustworthy source to be sure. “It was obvious to everyone – including disgraceful CNN – that Parnas was a fraudster and a hustler,” the suit said. “It was obvious that his lies were part of a thinly-veiled attempt to obstruct justice and to trick either the United States Attorney or House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Adam Schiff into offering ‘immunity’ in return for information’ about [Nunes].”
“CNN reviewed, approved and ratified the fake news prior to publication,” the lawsuit states. “Prior to November 22, 2019, CNN knew that Parnas and his attorneys or other political operatives were shopping a story to the press that made claims about the Plaintiff, implicating him in efforts to get ‘dirt’ on Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. CNN knew that no other news outlet would touch the salacious story because none of the ‘facts’ provided could be verified.”
Good luck Nunes!
