Obama-Era Official in Pentagon Accused of Leaking a Classified Document

A Pentagon official who is a holdover from the Obama Administration is now being investigated for leaking classified documents regarding the case against General Michael Flynn to the press, The Epoch Times reports.

The official under investigation is James Baker, Director of the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment, which was already under investigation by Durham due to its direct ties to FBI informant and foreign citizen Stefan Halper, a British spy who was instrumental in the entrapment of Trump campaign aides George Papadopoulos and Carter Page.

A recent court filing confirmed that Baker is “believed to be the person who illegally leaked the transcript of Mr. Flynn’s calls” to the press, via the Washington Post reporter David Ignatius.

This is the latest development in the investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham, who was appointed by Attorney General William Barr to investigate the origins of the “Russian collusion” conspiracy theory, which was the catalyst for Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation, though it was later proven to be a hoax.
