Kavanaugh Keynote Address Protested by Far-Left Feminists

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh gave a keynote address to the Federalist Society in Washington D.C.’s Union Station, which was protested by a handful of far-left feminist activists, USA Today reports.

The protesters, who were with a group called “Demand Justice,” remained outside the building while Justice Kavanaugh spoke to the gathering inside. It was Kavanaugh’s first public speech since he was confirmed over one year ago, and the event was dedicated to the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

The protesters outside chanted slogans such as “I believe Dr. Ford, I believe Anita Hill,” in reference to the two women who falsely accused Justices Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas, respectively, of sexual assault during their confirmations. A banner reading “Kavanaugh lied” also hung outside Union Station, and the activists brought a screen that played Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony of her discredited allegations against Justice Kavanaugh.

Although the allegations against Kavanaugh, including additional ones by Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick, were all debunked before his confirmation, a handful of fringe far-left groups still believe that he is guilty. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) signaled her support for the protesters on Twitter and also criticized Facebook for sponsoring the Federalist Society’s event, furthering her conflict with the social media giant that she has called to be broken up by antitrust action.
