Impeachment Follies: Schiff tells the Republicans they will need to justify any questions they want to ask in the reality show star chamber next week
Supreme Impeachment Emperor Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has decreed that Republicans cannot ask any questions in the impeachment tribunal unless they tickle his impeachment fancy.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff on Thursday released a tightened set of guidelines over what potential witnesses can be called in the impeachment hearings, saying Republicans must justify their relevance according to a three-point criteria.
If the Supreme Impeachment Emperor vetoes a question, the entire committee will vote and the committee has a majority of Democrats on it so its game over. The good news is that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) was added to the committee, so there will be a firebrand having his line of questioning shut down by the Democrats. Yippee.
Ambassador to the Derp State colluded with a Democrat staffer mere days after “whistleblower” complaint was filed
Impeachment darling and fired Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch conducted a private email conversation about a “delicate” issue with a Democrat staffer shortly after Eric Ciaramella filed his pretend whistleblower complaint.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, a key witness in House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, communicated via her personal email account with a Democratic congressional staffer concerning a “quite delicate” and “time-sensitive” matter — just two days after the whistleblower complaint that kickstarted the inquiry was filed, and a month before the complaint became public, emails obtained Thursday by Fox News showed.
The emails appear to contradict Yovanovitch’s deposition on Capitol Hill last month, in which she told U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., about an email she received Aug. 14 from the staffer, Laura Carey — but indicated under oath that she never responded to it.
But the staffer was on the Foreign Affairs committee. Isn’t that interesting? How many committees knew about operation whistleblower before it was rolled out to the public?
The communication came “from the Foreign Affairs Committee,” and “they wanted me to come in and talk about, I guess, the circumstances of my departure,” Yovanovitch testified, describing Carey’s initial email. “I alerted the State Department, because I’m still an employee, and so, matters are generally handled through the State Department.”
Yovanovitch continued: “So, she emailed me. I alerted the State Department and, you know, asked them to handle the correspondence. And, she emailed me again and said, you know, ‘Who should I be in touch with?'”
But that’s not the whole story. According to Tucker Carlson, who obtained the email conversation, Yovanovitch did personally respond.
“Thanks for reaching out — and congratulations on your new job. I would love to reconnect and look forward to chatting with you. I have let EUR [Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs] know that you are interested in talking and they will be in touch with you shortly,” she wrote.
So did Yovanovitch lie? “I specifically asked her whether the Democratic staffer was responded to by Yovanovitch or the State Department. It is greatly concerning that Ambassador Yovanovitch didn’t answer my question as honestly as she should have, especially while under oath,” Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-New York) said.

Great news. The person suspected of leaking a hot mic tape of an ABC News lady complaining about the censorship of her blockbuster Epstein story, has been fired by CBS. You are reading that right: fired by CBS. Allegedly, the ABC News leaker now works for CBS and CBS, observing the code of corporate media omerta, iced this employee. After all, the same shenanigans go on at CBS too and they don’t want the risk of having their own “editorial” discretion put on display for public consumption.
“Two sources familiar with the matter tell me that CBS News has fired the staffer in question,” Yashar Ali tweeted with an accompanying story. “This comes after ABC informed CBS that they had determined who accessed the footage of Amy Robach expressing her frustrations about the Epstein story.”
I hope this newly fired CBS employee is looking into their legal options. Not everyone gets the Eric Ciaramella treatment. Some animals are more equal than others.
