Gov. Abbott: Two Gov. Offices Looking into Case of Little Boy Transitioning to Girl Against Dad’s Wishes

Texas governor Greg Abbott announced Wednesday evening that the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services are looking into the sad saga of James Younger, the seven year-old boy who may be forced to undergo chemical castration at the behest of his mother.

On Monday, a jury in Dallas ruled in favor of the boy’s mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, allowing her to continue “transitioning” James to “Luna” using puberty blockers and eventually cross-sex hormones. The child has reportedly been “transitioning” into a girl since he was three.

Meanwhile, the boy’s father, Jeffrey Younger, will be required to “affirm” that his son as a girl, despite his religious and moral objections, and will be forced to take a class on transgenderism.

A few minutes after the governor’s tweet, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also commented on the case, calling it “horrifying & tragic” and characterizing the procedure as “nothing less than child abuse.”

The case has sparked outage and horror among conservatives who believe that a seven year old is much too young to make such a profoundly life-altering decision.

As Daily Wire columnist Matt Walsh put it, “kids at that age have no understanding of reality, in theory or practice.”

They cannot cognitively grasp the distinction between truth and fiction, fantasy and reality, cartoon people and real people. There’s a reason why you can so easily convince them that a morbidly obese man flies around the entire globe in one night and delivers toys to billions of children. It wouldn’t occur to a 3-year-old to doubt this claim. In his world, literally anything is possible.

According to Walsh, the disturbing case will one day be “viewed as a seminal moment in our collective plunge into madness.”

As The Texan previously reported, the factors that convinced Georgulas that her son is really her daughter include his affinity for the movie “Frozen” and his request to get a “girl toy” from McDonald’s. She also says he started expressing a wish to dress in girl’s clothing. But Jeff Younger recently explained in an interview that if James ever had any desire to wear dresses, it’s only because his mother started putting him in dresses and painting his nails when he was just 3-years-old. He claims that she used several other methods of manipulation, including locking the boy in his room and telling him that “the monsters only eat boys.” Jeff speculates that Georgulas would withhold affection from James if he did not act like a girl.

Georgulas is a pediatrician whose website touts “modern parenting” and “classic healthcare.” A photo on the website shows her posing with her son who is dressed like a girl.

Judge Kim Cooks was expected to read her ruling on the case Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., but the decision was postponed until some time on Thursday.

Her ruling will outline the specifics of possession, child support, and the requests of Dr. Anne Georgulas, James’ mother, according to Lifesite.

Dr. Georgulas and Mr. Younger have been in a complicated custody dispute over their twins, James and Jude. Dr. Georgulas has been telling James he’s a girl since he was three. She enrolled him in kindergarten as a girl named “Luna.” He uses the girls’ restroom and all of this classmates believe he is a girl.

Dr. Georgulas wants to subject James to puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones as well as legally force his father to treat him as a girl.

Multiple witnesses for Younger testified that James presents as a boy when he is with his father and that they had never suspected that he wanted to be a girl.

James and his twin brother Jude are not actually biologically related to Dr. Georgulas. They were created through in-vitro fertilization and the use of an egg donor.

Walsh had some solid advice for Republicans running for office in 2020:
