Morning Greatness: Feckless Gowdy Joins Trump Legal Team

Good Thursday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president receives his intelligence briefing
  • President Trump delivers remarks at Keep America Great Rally in Minneapolis, MN

“You know how to whistle, don’t you?”

We have several developments regarding Pelosi’s star chamber impeachment polka: first off, the feckless Trey Gowdy has joined the president’s legal team. This is not confidence-inspiring. Trump should have hired Lionel Hutz or Unfrozen Cave Man Lawyer rather than Gowdy. We all remember what a bang up job Gowdy did on Benghazi. He’s one of those pod people in congress who gets on camera and talks a lot of smack and sabre-rattles but in practice there’s a complete failure to launch. He’s out at Fox News too because of his new role in the witch-burning trials which means we won’t get to see him fronting and banging on the table on cable TV. Oh well.

Next up: attorneys for the “whistle blower” are pushing back on claims that the saboteur is biased or partisan. You can read the tweets here. The “whistle-blower” is irrelevant since we all have a transcript of the call. But what isn’t irrelevant is why the guy decided to make a big deal over the president’s request that the Ukraine clean up its corrupt self and cooperate with the U.S. investigating election interference. As I’ve written before, this “whistle-blower” racket followed the same paradigm as the Steele dossier shenanigan. It was always supposed to be a secret tool that select people could leak curated pieces and reference the horror contained in the document without any recourse. Trump called their bluff by releasing the document and complaint so people could just read for themselves what got the CIA agent and former NSC staffer so hot and bothered.

It’s obvious the bias refers to the whistle blower’s relationship with former Veep Joe Biden, a member of the NSC during the Obama Adminstration, which would explain why this unelected bureaucrat got so shook by rumors of the call.

Resistance DIA Derp Stater arrested for leaking classified info to journoladies

You can get the full story from AG’s Deb Heine on this clown’s resistance resume but I’m sensing a pattern, a modus operandi if you will, where lefty journoladies are getting some scoop by giving up their own scoop, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more. Remember not that long ago a Senate Intelligence Committee (SSCI) Derp State staffer “had contact” as the WaPo reported it, with a journolady who now works for the New York Times (of course.) That “contact” the WaPo resistance-washed was a three-year long affair and the SSCI staffer wasn’t charged with leaking classified intel, he was charged with lying to investigators. Now why was that?

Back to our most recent situation:

The reporters aren’t named in the indictment against 30-year-old alleged leaker Henry Kyle Frese, but The Wall Street Journal identified them as CNBC reporter Amanda Macias and NBC reporter Courtney Kube.

Frese, a counterintelligence analyst from Alexandria, Virginia, who had a Top Secret security clearance, was indicted Tuesday on two counts of willful transmission of national defense information to persons not entitled to receive it.

“Frese was caught red-handed disclosing sensitive national security information for personal gain,” John C. Demers, assistant attorney general for national security, said when announcing the indictment.

Did I mention Frese was having a romantic relationship with one of the reporters? I can’t imagine why people don’t trust the intelligence community.

Turkey invades northern Syria, casualties reported

Turkey has started its invasion of northern Syria in Islamist Erdogan’s battle against Kurdish forces and casualties have been reported. The war caucus inside the media and the political industry continue to descend into madness.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched Operation Peace Spring on Wednesday after President Trump announced the U.S. would withdraw American troops from the area, a move considered by many analysts a blow to the U.S.-backed Kurdish forces there. Erdogan said the mission was to “neutralize terror threats against Turkey and lead to the establishment of a safe zone, facilitating the return of Syrian refugees to their homes.”

One of the big logistical problems from the U.S. withdrawal is that our NATO-less Kurdish allies are guarding about 10,000 ISIS prisoners with our help. What happens to all the ISIS scum bags?

On Wednesday, President Trump said, “We said to various countries, we’d like you to take your people back. Nobody wants them, they’re bad,” and he went on to predict the ISIS prisoners would “go back to Europe.” Now that’s an interesting point. Where are the European moral powerhouses on Turkey’s invasion? Are they worried the freed ISIS terrorists will return and terrorize their anesthetized population? Anyone?

“We’re doing jobs that [Europe, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria] should be doing. […] We’re 7,000 miles away,” he said.
